Legacy of Kain™ Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered

Previous releses not available. This is major downside because couple of reasons - no gamma/brightness/contrast controls. When in the game night is coming you have to switch over and over between spectral and physical realm. Not so funny, this is time consuming and confusing, old release had such option. Controls - never was strong side of the series but in latest release is even worse. Directions are not divided between swimming and walking in option menu, so if you do not like to control your character in inverse, then either you have to accept that or switch direct controls with every submerge in water while in physical realm. Old release had such option, remaster of course do not. I count on update. If these issuees will be fixed I will rise my score. For now it is what it is...

The game mechanic is still the same as original so those who are used to modern games that have better camera movement and easier character control it might be difficult, but for me - old gamer - the gameplay, the puzzles and refreshed look are ok, it brings good memories. I recommend it.

The real deal, worked on by superfans and sponsored by Crystal Dynamics. Spend your money on this honest to form and spirit remake.

Whether these remasters are "cash grab" or not, the success of these are a critical factor for a proper future sequel of the franchise so spend your money wisely... Also the remasters are adequate enough!

The Game is suffering from the same frame time stuttering as the Tomb Raider Remastered Collection. If you rotate the camera you will notice regular stutters which can also be seen on the RTSS frame time graph. This happens at my native 120 hz aswell as capped at 60 fps via RTSS. Changing the OpenGL Present method in the Nvidia Control Panel to "Prefered layered on DXGI Swapchain", a fix that works for the Tomb Raider Remastered Collection, doesn't seem to alleviate the issue in this game. As this was never fixed for TR, I don't expect this to be fixed any time soon for The Legacy of Kain 1&2 Remastered and I will request a refund. On another note, the game offers no graphics options whatsoever. You can't change resolution, Vsync options... nothing. This is simply unacceptable, really, for a PC port in this day and age. Highly disappointing.
