Fan-made disater
A fan was the team lead...not a professional dev. Thus..no real improvements at all except textures, a broken day-night cycle, ridiculous goal oriented in-game maps, etc. hell, they broke the original grpahics mode and made it jittery as hell.

The coin finally landed on it's edge!!!
These two masterpieces waited in the depths of the abyss for 25 years, but time hasn't dulled them in any way. The love that was put into these remasters shows from the start. It is a gift to us older gamers and a chronicle for the next generation to experience and enjoy. And with it comes the first taste of that terrible illusion...hope for more Legacy of Kain!

-I buy the series about two years ago with every intention on playing through the entire story, -Soul Reaver 1 is taken off for 'important updates', -Buy the available entries anyway while they're on sale -Hold off starting the series while I wait patiently for it to come back. -Still waiting. -Finally available again; remade and at a stupidly ridiculous price for a 25 year old game, and no option for the original to begin with. And the original Soul Reaver 2 is still available.

Kain and Raziel Return Better Than Ever
I only got into the Legacy of Kain series a few years ago, but they have quickly risen through the ranks as some of my favorite games of all time. Soul Reaver especially is a game everyone should play once, both for its story and Zelda-like exploration/puzzle solving. It's great to see these games finally get some love after more than 2 decades of lying dorment. Saber did just as good a job updating the visuals and controls as the Tomb Raider remasters. Between that and the added bonus content, this is a must buy for long time Kain fans.
