Legacy of Kain™ Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered

This is basically a fancy graphics update with some really stupid control issues. Its only out because they need to make money off the back catalogue of properties they bought and this is the best of the pile. This should be a free update for current owners but because there are new rich kids that own it new they want us to pay them to buy this HD graphics pack. It is the exact same game you got 25 years ago with no changes to design or gameplay. Aspyr does as little as possible, they have yet to actually make a game. Porting is the only thing they have ever done, make other peoples stuff run on other peoples stuff. But just barely enough to get the reviewers to praise them.

The modern features like OBJECTIVES and the MAP which is absolutely pretty useless ruin the first game by adding something that destroys the original immersion. In the game at the beginning you get one task - to kill Kain and then it is up to you how you get to him. Now, the game also tells you to escape the place, then to find something, then go somewhere else, then this, then that... No context in the cutscenes why you should do it as the original game wanted you to discover everything by yourself. Now imagine the original Dark Souls with objectives. See? That bad this is. This is why the newly added objectives absolutely do not add anything to the game, it actually ruins the game. At least if they made it optional like other new features in the remaster, but nope, this one is mandatory for some reason. I am really amazed how insensitively these objectives were added to the game. I hate when modern games hold players' hands but I double hate when they ruin the original classics with this modern cancer. Modern gaming is dead... Thanks really for ruining my favorite game...

I didn't play the original version, so i don't have any nostalgia. The game don't show where to go. The save system is too old, I've never seen this before. You will always start in the beginning (some kind of hall full of portals) (the portals are the checkpoint for spawn)

Funny that the people who downvoted the Thing for being a twenty-year-old game with a ridiculous price tag, don't have a problem with this one?
