Legacy of Kain™ Soul Reaver 1&2 Remastered

Great way to play a super nostalgic game with good controls and graphical update, but needs the addition of screen brightness controls. When I got to the cathedral in Soul Reaver 1 during night time, i can only see the characters eyes and nothing else.

I felt like I was a teen again. Oh, how I missed Micheal Bell, Simon Templeman, Tony freaking Jay (RIP)... Amy Hennig's glorious LoK saga is on a different level. Nothing has and I don't think ever will come close. I hope she's doing well, I hope she knows how many nerds truly appreciate her writing and I hope Aspyr will remake all 5 LoK games. Some annoying bugs can pretty much lock your progress though, so be sure to keep at least 3-4 save files, and DO remember to save every once in a while.

I played the initial soul reaver 1 & 2 on playstation. This remaster is welcomed, but in the first opus (I didn't played the second yet), a lot of inconsistency, clipping and subtitles bugs give a sensation of lack of polishing in the game. Good stuff anyway.

If you played the originals, you will love this. If you never played them because they were too outdated and too hard to get running on an x64 machine, you are in luck. In any case, the Silenced Cathedral will be so dark you're going to need to adjust your monitor settings, or reload the game in dev mode to disable the day/night cycle to have a chance of seeing where you're going.

The game has some graphic errors, mainly textures that disappear in some maps of the game, some low FPS, I hope they fix it, despite that the game is very good
