The Last Express

From the creator of Prince of Persia comes this excellent adventure game that reminds me in a way of "La Abadía del Crimen" (The Abbey of Crime). The game rewards you for exploring. Rewind system is a great idea when you get a dead end, instead of forcing you to start from scratch. It's a pity that nowadays all adventures aren't even close to the quality of a game ten years old

Definitely one of the best games I've ever played, after years the emotions stil remain the same and still I like to play it from time to time. Looking at the pictures, it could seem old fashioned, but the story and the characters are soooo well written that it's difficult not to like it.

I've played this one years ago. Then again, when I saw it online, I couldn't resist but buy a digital copy when it was on 60% discount. The money you spend is worth for the soundtrack alone. Don't miss it!

I grew up playing point and click adventure games games like King's Quest and Monkey Island, but I never actually played this game when it was first released in 1997. That being said, I decided to pick up the game to see if it's still enjoyable to those who have absolutely no nostalgia for the game whatsoever, and I must say that I found myself rather captivated by the story. I've only put a few hours into the game at this point, but from what I've played so far, I'm really enjoying the experience. Some of the mechanics feel a bit dated when compared to similar games in the genre, but this game still has a lot to offer.

Some games trascend into art....the last express ended up costing the developers more than it sold, a tragedy in line with the events that unfold in the game. This title was perhaps too ahead of its time to be fully appreciated. I first played it in the late 90s when it first came out (in another continent, in another set of circumstances), and recently played it again. You can count on one hand the number of games with such a strong story. If you have even a passing interest into (European) history please do give it a try
