a fitting conclusion if not as good pace

Much like the first season, I have to recommend this game to anyone who wants to see cosmic horror done right. True, it doesn't pull the fear factor as well as it's predecessor, but it still weaves the tale itself masterfully. The only caveat here is with you as the gamer: first to play the original game first, and second to not be looking for something action packed. I'm not sure you will miss anything playing this first, but it's designed to follow up so it would be like opening a book halfway through with nothing more then a cliffnotes recap to catch you up before you being. Yeah, you get it, but you know you are missing the full effect. And of course, this being a point and click game. If you are expecting any kind of real action in the gameplay, you are once again barking up the very wrong tree.

Low-pixel horror done well

Great little point and click adventure game. Not too long or too complex, though there were one or two puzzles that seemed a bit confusing. The big pixels work well to show an idea of what is there, while leaving plenty of dread for your imagination to fill in. The game is split into 4 chapters, neither of which are too long, but each still managing to slowly ratchet up a slight sense of unease before reaching the finale of the chapter. My only real issue with the game is, that the walking pace is slow. It does serve its purpose at times to have you feel that essential sense of dread. But when walking back and forth trying to find something you forgot, it does make the game a bit slower than desired to play. In all, a good game for point and click horror lovers. Even if it is a bit short.

Follow the mystery to the end

Once said, this story may not be told well in some aspects, but the atmosphere is very good. The process is also longer than the first season, the gameplay is more complete, and the puzzles are much more reasonable than the previous one. (Recommended to play this after playing the first one)

More developed and less fluid

Compared to season 1, this game has a much more in-depth and developed plot. The gameplay is also more developed with more locales and more intricate puzzles. But this takes away from the simplicity and focus that season 1 had. Most of the puzzles here are good, but a few are very obtuse and you might find you need a walkthrough a few times. No need for fast reaction times and not a true horror game, but a very atmospheric and spooky game.

Still good

not quite as good as the first one. i felt a lot more lost on what to do next & wondering what the game wanted from me to progress. the compass/gravestone puzzle was total BS. still, very nice atmosphere, very creepy, very good horror.
