Coppert LeGré, our 16 year old hero, is a bastard child of a prominent nobleman. But even the fact that he is a nephew of the king won’t help him clear his name from the unjust charges of murdering his own kin. It’s up to him to prove his innocence, regain the trust of the people of Gladstone, and face the evil, mystical force that’s been menacing the land. It will take more than just courage to close the dimensional rifts that seem to be the source of the turmoil. Knowing that, Coppert sets off to find allies, avenge the death of his father and brothers, and save the kingdom itself!
Lands of Lore 3 offers diverse, RPG gameplay presented in first person perspective. It gives you a large amount of freedom, letting you choose your own path towards the game’s ultimate goal, and to divert from it whenever you like to engage in one of the many side-quests. You can join one of four guilds as a fighter, cleric, thief, or mage. Gaining expertise in the skills associated with your class is as easy as putting them into use. You’re not facing your destiny all by yourself, though. By your side you’ll find a magical familiar-- a faithful companion in your journey. With its help you will survive--and thrive--in one of the most extensive RPG game worlds ever created.
A satisfying finale to one of Westwood’s most treasured classic series.
Vast and detailed 3D world to roam freely during your many adventures.
Great variety of weapons and items to improve your character’s fighting chances, and a selection of guilds he can join to receive class-specific training.

I like the game but it is full of bugs & hard to finish... You can get stuck & have to reload from earlier save game. Like already mentioned by others stuff vanishes.
Multiple side quests cannot be completed correctly (at least in my playthrough).
It did not age well unfortunately.
If you want to experience the LOL story, watch a playthrough of the 1st game, then play the 2nd game & watch a playthrough of the 3rd game.
LOL 3 was not of the same caliber of the first 2. Although it contained some of the previous characters, the development was a bit disappointing. It would've been nice if Westwood Studios had used live action video, like they did in LOL 2, with updated graphics. Instead, they chose to join the emerging world of polygon based characters. Because of this, the game felt cheapened, average, and rushed to market. The gameplay also seemed shorter than the first 2, probably due to the EA takeover, although some of it was memorable. You have a choice of one character, with a couple of guilds to join, but I don't know if it makes much difference in the game. I only played it through once, and it seems like I spent a lot of time selling items to merchants. It was still fun.
Overall, the game isn't bad, but it could have been better. It has puzzles, traps, and secret areas, like we became accustomed to with the series. There are plenty of enemies to fight, with new NPC's and environments throughout the game. The character and plot twists were interesting.
I would say that the main reason to get this game is for closure, if you've played the other two. It doesn't stand out as original, but it is worthwhile. At an awesome price, I purchased it to complete the set, and will play it again to see if there's a new appreciation for it. I would still recommend giving it a try.
As with LOL 1 & 2, GOG has done a terrific job with Dosbox to make this game come alive, and playable under Windows 10. It comes with Glide support which, although looks better, is limited to 800X600 resolution. It also has DirectX support, which seems to be only limited to your monitor resolution. It would be interesting to try it with DirectX at 4K. The only glitch that I've seen so far was an error pop-up about insufficient video memory, when I exited out of a cut scene. This may be a problem with a game bug itself, or Dosbox. Other than that, it works perfectly. GOG is the best.
This game is a return to excitement, sadly the quests don't all work but that is because of EA itself.
They rushed this game and it never was complete.
Nevertheless it is every fans dream to have a sequel to this great title of a game.
This game is quite great. The story is well told, the dialogs have a kind of cheesy humour which adds to the relatively funny atmosphere this game gives.
The environment is lovely designed, though it looks a bit... blocky.
You have to fiddle with the controlls a bit and get used to the basics, changing controlls from arrow keys to wasd is a requirement to work with both keyboard and mouse at the same time.
I'd recommend this game since it kind of keeps up with todays time (if you overlook the design in the woods outside of towns and caves).
It is a game worth playing that holds up more than just good old memories, it is a fine game indeed!
I really enjoy the first person aspect of this game and I wish more developers would do this. However, the game is so glitchy, lots of bugs, grapical UI glitches, quest bugs, etc. I am nearing the end of the game, after the 4th portal closure, the ui is now becoming a blurred mixture of colors, NPC dialogue is getting interupted. I am unable to complete quests because the NPCs glitch out.
