Coppert LeGré, our 16 year old hero, is a bastard child of a prominent nobleman. But even the fact that he is a nephew of the king won’t help him clear his name from the unjust charges of murdering his own kin. It’s up to him to prove his innocence, regain the trust of the people of Gladstone, and face the evil, mystical force that’s been menacing the land. It will take more than just courage to close the dimensional rifts that seem to be the source of the turmoil. Knowing that, Coppert sets off to find allies, avenge the death of his father and brothers, and save the kingdom itself!
Lands of Lore 3 offers diverse, RPG gameplay presented in first person perspective. It gives you a large amount of freedom, letting you choose your own path towards the game’s ultimate goal, and to divert from it whenever you like to engage in one of the many side-quests. You can join one of four guilds as a fighter, cleric, thief, or mage. Gaining expertise in the skills associated with your class is as easy as putting them into use. You’re not facing your destiny all by yourself, though. By your side you’ll find a magical familiar-- a faithful companion in your journey. With its help you will survive--and thrive--in one of the most extensive RPG game worlds ever created.
A satisfying finale to one of Westwood’s most treasured classic series.
Vast and detailed 3D world to roam freely during your many adventures.
Great variety of weapons and items to improve your character’s fighting chances, and a selection of guilds he can join to receive class-specific training.

I got the second mirror shard and went back to the town just to find out all the things I had stored in "my room" disappeared, since this game has no stash or any other way to safely store items all those rare mats and gear were lost forever
the bigger things I got from the game until I got frustrated :
+ the combat is fun, and the first spell you learn is probably the most useful of them all since is a hit skin spell instead of a projectile
- Inventory has limited space which is a problem during some of the longer parts where you find lots of loot with no easy way to go back to town, and ultimately is the bane of the game since there's no safe place to store extra items, this is a big issue
I loved previous LoL installments, but the third part of the franchise was definitely its low bottom line. Too many bugs and incoherent storyline clearly show that Westwood was having huge problems in 1999. While the first Lands of Lore was one of the best RPG's ever made, LoL 3 is but a distant echo of the franchise former glory.
Played this game many times. Very enjoyable but docked a star as there were bugs and the graphics were a bit blocky. Really would have loved Westwood to be around today with a more current engine making games:(
If you've played Lands of Lore 2, then this is a fun continuation of the series. It uses the same game play experience as Lands of Lore 2 but with improvements to the map, journal, an overall interface. It's a fun continuation of the story and you even get to join up to 4 guilds and pick 1 of 4 familiars to accompany you on your journeys. Re-playing the game is fun when using different guild combinations (which give you access to unique spells and equipment) and different familiars which adds fun variety to the re-play experience.
Let me say this first, this is my first Lands of Lore game I played, I never really had any chance to get the game, when Iw as younger, but I still watched the teaser for LoL 2 and it was amazing, it was cut quickly, showed a ton of different locations, demons, mystical creatures, interresting magical places.
Thus after I had some real craving for a first person dungeon crawler I got the entire Lol package and it was just..awful.
I can see over blocky graphics, I don't really care, I can ignore the at times very strange humor, but I simply can't ignore that the game offers zero challenge, its so incredibly easy that I once mistakingly attacked a shopkeeper and killed him with a freaking dagger, that guy had gear worth atleast 3000 coins around and I could just take it, wanting to see if this was jsut a bug I attacked another shopkeeper inn the thief hideout and yes, she is a frail old lady, but she did zero damage to me, her store filled with artifacts to the brim just stood wide open for me.
Now I don't know what the problems will be down the line for killing those guys, so I started a new game and to my suprise nothing seems to be able to kill me, I even avoided the very easy boost you can just buy for a mere 10 coins to permanantly increse your mana or health bar and still I found so many healing items on the way, not to mention the free healing spell you get for joining a certain guild, that I never even was near death in 5 hours of gameplay.
The game is doomed for having a rather uninterresting story, bland characters and next to no challenge combat wise, which is even worse, when you realize that the combat flows extremly well, different creatures have different defences against weapons and magic, there are ranged weapons or throwing weapons, a lot of melee weapons even, but its just so easy to slaugther your way trougth the enemy that the whole combatsystem is a waste.
