kknd is so good

played this some decades ago, still lots of fun and not gotten older a single day (in contrast to c&c which really got old for me). Tip: If you get crashes when a video got to be played: you must not skip video sequences in a game session!

I was really enjoying trying out this old school RTS as I'm a huge fan of C&C, Warcraft etc. It's just too bad that the enemy AI is so unbalanced, and will kick your @ss again and again until you quit the game. And try again. Rinse and repeat.

So I played the game, lots of unit spamming, but the interface is extremely comfortable, and quite intuitive as well, so it feels a lot like the original C&Cs albeit with a great soundtrack, less menial labor, and a cool setting and story line, I personally liked the toning down of militarism through very critical and satiric humor through the campaign, like when the computer next to the briefing cam indicates that flamer tanks are like regular tanks albeit with less than half the range, while making them sound like a consumer product for making marshmallows. So all in all, a must for any RTS fans, but not really for people who'd rather play a more modern RTS, and strangely good for casual players too as the simplicity of the game makes it easy to pick up and leave at any given moment. So yeah, good game, hope you enjoy it, also download the great soundtrack for an extra nostalgia shock right in the FEELS!

Anyone who enjoys RTS genre should, nay, MUST play this game. Despite its some quality of life lacking (like adding more units to already selected units, or selecting a single unit type, or the unit and building amount limits, or lack of issuing a command to repair multiple units at the same time, requiring micromanagement if you want to repair your elites), this game provides something a lot of similar games lack - FUN. Just pure fun. This game slaps. The units are POWERFUL and things explode. lots of unit types, many of which are overpowered in the best sense. for instance, flamethrower units - they do CRAZY damage but since they are in short range, they are easily dead. Anyway, I could go on, but the overall point is clear - PLAY IT.
