Description
This planet ain't big enough for the three of you.
The Earth's surface may be nothing more than a burnt out hell hole but the Survivors, the Evolved, and the Series 9 robots still want it real bad and they're willing to have a whole new Armageddon to get it. Now's your chance to stake your claim to what's left of the planet. Send in your anaconda tanks and enforcers, counter the Survivors' hi-tech armies with mutant lo-tech mastodons and giant scorpions, or hit the fields and reap some serious body count with Series 9 seeders and weed killers.
Krush Kill 'N Destroy 2: Krossfire is a fast and furious real-time strategy game where you have to be quick or be dead. Seek out and conquer oil fields with your mobile oil platforms to fuel your army. Erect buildings such as the Machine Shop, the Barracks, and the Research Lab to build and improve your army and take the fight to your enemies. Seek out ancient technology bunkers and use the technological treasures within to turn the tide of battle. Most important of all: KRUSH, KILL 'N DESTROY!
For challenging RTS gameplay in gritty post-apocalyptic setting, and an advanced AI opponent that will give you a run for your money--this is your best pick!
Three compelling and unique factions, each with their own personalities: the deformed Survivors, the smug Survivalists, and the Series 9 killer machines.
51 open ended missions and a complete mission editor ensure that the war stays hot and frenzied.
Hordes of air, land, and amphibious units for each faction, each with their own individual character, strengths, and weaknesses.
Killer Intelligence that gives you the fight of your life as it understands technology, attacks and defends for maximum damage, and retreats when the going gets too rough, all without cheating.

Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
You need for widescreen (16:9) this fix:
https://www.moddb.com/downloads/kwip-high-res-patch-for-kknd2
and test the EXE Parameters .... this e.g. works for me:
-thirty -width 1280 -height 720
in the AMD Grafic Config a new Game Profile for KWIPv3 -> morphological filtering ON
AND in the Global AMD Config Display -> Fit on Screen !!! to have Fullsize
It is only 720p but it is widescreen :D
MAYBE SOME OF YOU CAN CHOOSE A HIGHER RESOLUTION !!!!
KKnD 2 is a great game. The music, gameplay, graphics, and yes nostalgie make this an awesome game to have, BUT. The version on GOG ( KKnd2_2.0.0.7 ) has a mayor flaw.
There are two bugs that make this game completly unplayable.
1: "Cannot create unit" stops you from creating new units which stops any progress in the mission.
2: "Mission Failed" is annoying as hell. It pops up at random and there is nothing you can do about it. I had to stop playing a campaign because the "mission failed" showed up right after the level started. I had not even seen any of my units or base.
As I browse through the reviews it is obvious that GOG has still not fixed this bug after many years, so we can assume they won't fix this in the future either.
I suggest you don't buy this game, it'll be fun in the first few missions but then the bugs will ruin the game and you'll only be frustrated because you can't finish the game.
If you do decide to buy this game make sure to refund it within 30 days. Its too late for me but you can still be saved a few bucks.
Pure b*******, i can't even launch the game in windows 10 with every single compatibility mode enabled. The game was cool when i was young, but now this version doesn't work.
If you want to judge this game, you have to look from the pre 2000 time perspective.
Gameplay still holds up and is very challenging, especially when you setup LAN parties with friends you are gonna have a tons of fun. Matches are short and fast paced. AI can still beat your butt and story mission are quite "challenging". Whole "RTS" and strategy here is to build up mega army, select all and move to attack enemy big group or base. Thats the whole gameplay here. Unless you are into micromanaging Aircraft and turret defending.
From soundtrack, to unit design, its all great. And visual-side it doesn't looks that bad. Unit details and animations are not something you really should care about, you don't have time to zoom in and look. They die quick and a lot of things can happen on the screen.
But yes if you played this as a kid on your PSX, you will get biased towards this game no matter what.
This game needs a 2019 age sequel.
I played KKND 1 and 2 back in the day. If you played 1, but have not seen this sequel, it's VERY different in gameplay and design (animations very different and balance of units/towers is totally overhauled) which gives a totally different experience.
If you have played neither but are wondering, are these classic RTS games I need to play? NO
Command and Conquer and Warcraft/Starcraft are your must-play games, these are B grade at best.
In summary, not horrible, but unless you want to revisit this time of RTS games, I would avoid.
