Become a hero in a fantasy world of fearless knights, evil mages, wise kings and beautiful princesses. Explore the land, command armies and accomplish quests for your king to reap great rewards... Or suffer devastating defeats.
The gameplay is divided into two major sections: adventure mode and tactics mode. While playing in adventure mode you control your hero in real-time, seeking various treasures, fighting monsters and accomplishing quests tasked to you by the local stewards.
Once in tactics mode you assume the role of a war chief, leading your troops in tactical turn-based combat.
Battles take place on land or sea, in dungeons or castles or even in certain items! The hero himself doesn't participate in the combat, but can assist his troops by casting spells or summoning different creatures.

Most beloved HoMM clone
First of all - I can agree with most of reviews. This is a great game. I like it, played for many hours and now I'm waiting for newest addons. But, how it is good OLD game? It's a 2008 title which is being still sold and new addons are being published in a few next weeks. Ok, game is great but there are many older games I would like to see here. System Shock, Need For Speed (1 2 3 Porsche), Colin McRae, Legend of Kyrandia series (1 2 3), Settlers 2 Anniversary, Silent Storm, more UFO games, Jazz Jackrabbit and many many more I can only imagine to find here.

HOMM
An interesting HOMM clone. I like the ability to lure monsters onto more beneficial ground for combat, but I dislike the absence of difficulty ranking for some fights (i.e. upgrading items, sudden attacks triggered by dialog).

Clever writing, slow and clone-tastic
a Heroes of Might and Magic Clone and not a particularly good one. Some amusing dialog but the tactics are slow and boring.
