King's Bounty: The Legend

5 Stars for the game itself. -2 Stars because GOG Shop sais it's available in German. So i bought the game, and noticed after install that it is only available in english. Since it's a great game, i keep and play it.

I really appreciate what the developers did here. This is an amazing game. I enjoyed it deeply.

You undertake quests from various people and fight enemies around the map. The game is very monotone in its structure of finding the weakest enemies you can find at any time and fight them. It's a chill game really, but it wont offer you a lot of variety or challenge for that matter. The best feature of the game is travelling through the map and finding overlooked places that you can benefit from.

King's Bounty is an alright, competently put together game, but unless you're a die hard fan of this kind of title, it's quite boring. The setting is an extremely generic, post-warcraft 3 fantasy world (the assets and animations are nicely done though), and unfortunately the story and the dialogs offer nothing besides the bare minimum. I'm not really convinced a random free mobile game couldn't reach this bar today. Some players may have fond memories for good reasons, but I'm very skeptical King's Bounty is actually worth the time of any newcomers.

Old or not, this is a good game.
