Not bad at all!
Can't believe I missed this one when it first came out! Excellent fantasy turn based RPG. It's not quite as hard as some make it out to be, you just have to plan ahead...think chess with some role playing elements added.

One of the best in it's genre.
Glad this is part of GOG as it gave me a chance to get back into the genre. 5 stars for high production quality (great graphics, music--the entire package as a whole), but I'm docking 1 star for not being able to speed up the battle animations any further. The battles are great, but after several dozens of them, you've probably spent more time watching the animations than actually battling.

Great time waster.
If you want to a huge time waster, it's definitely a great game. 2/3rds in it drags on a bit, since you do less more the same thing on a different map, yet the thin veneer of a story keeps you going. The world looks very colorful and aesthetically pleasing, and this game as a great subtle sense of humor. If you like Heroes of Might and Magic, you should dig this one.

Insanely addictive
I already own this game, but I figured I'd put a review on GOG. It's not a Good Old Game, more of a Good Fairly New Game. It's similar to HoMM, specifically in the turn-based battles, although there is only one army so it's less complex. Bright, vibrant graphics, fantastic musical score, extremely addicting gameplay. I can't count how many hours I've spent thinking, "just.... one.... more..... battle". It's worth at least 2 replays, since the starting general you choose changes your battle strategy a fair bit. With four levels of difficulty, though, you could get a whole lotta replay value out of this game. My only real complaint about the game is there is no way (to my knowledge) to change the key configuration. I would have preferred to remap the camera keys. All in all, a real hidden gem. One of my favorite games from the past few years.
