Kingdoms of Amalur is one of the best games I've ever played. Its systems are clear and manageable, its graphics were amazing on the PS3, and the update with Re-Reckoning makes them even better. Salvatore's lore, the overall design and color, the bits of character here and there in the world, the voice acting (with a few member of the Critical Role cast in the mix) and the game system all combine to make what was obviously a labor of love.
Shame about Studio 38.
