Description

Game:

You're Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Thrust into a raging civil war, you watch helplessly as invaders storm your village and slaughter your friends and family. Narrowly escaping the brutal attack, you grab your sword to fight back. Avenge the death of your parents and help repel the invading forces!

Story:

Bohemia – located in the heart of Europe, the region is rich in culture, silver, and sprawling castles. The death of its beloved ruler, Emperor Charles IV, has plunged the kingdom into dark times: war, corruption, and discord are tearing this jewel of the Holy Roman Empire apart. One of Charles' sons, Wenceslas, has inherited the crown. Unlike his father, Wenceslas is a naive, self-indulgent, unambitious monarch. His half-brother and King of Hungary, Sigismund the Red Fox, senses weakness in Wenceslas. Feigning good will, Sigismund travels to Bohemia and kidnaps his half-brother. With no king on the throne, Sigismund is now free to plunder Bohemia and seize its riches.

In the midst of this chaos, you're Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Your peaceful life is shattered when a mercenary raid, ordered by King Sigismund himself, burns your village to the ground. By bittersweet fortune, you are one of the few survivors of this massacre.

Without a home, family, or future you end up in the service of Lord Radzig Kobyla, who is forming a resistance against the invasion. Fate drags you into this bloody conflict and shoves you into a raging civil war, where you help fight for the future of Bohemia.
  • Massive realistic open world: Majestic castles, vast fields, all rendered in stunning high-end graphics.
  • Non-linear story: Solve quests in multiple ways, then face the consequences of your decisions.
  • Challenging combat: Distance, stealth, or melee. Choose your weapons and execute dozens of unique combos in battles that are as thrilling as they are merciless.
  • Character development: Improve your skills, earn new perks, and forge and upgrade your equipment.
  • Dynamic world: Your actions influence the reactions of the people around you. Fight, steal, seduce, threaten, persuade, or bribe. It’s all up to you.
  • Historical accuracy: Meet real historical characters and experience the genuine look and feel of medieval Bohemia.

best herb picken' sim ever

Start as a peasant, go around picking herbs and taking in the georgeous landscapes of medieval Europe. And if you decide to do the quests, you better learn to fight, because Demons Souls was easy compared to this game!

Best medieval RPG sim in 2021

When buying a game I had a choice between Kingdom Come and the Witcher 3 and I went for the Kingdom Come and ... boy it did not let me down! I already put 126 hours of gameplay and I still haven't mastered or discovered everything - not to mention the DLCs. Simply put, it's a masterpiece both in gameplay and both in realism. The plot is perfectly intervowen into the historial events of Czech and Moravia. Play it on a high quality headset and the audio and visuals will astonish you! The game features the best intro one could ever dream of and the story keeps the high level throughout the entire game. It captivates you from the first seconds by beatiful graphical landscapes and many award-winning music (go check it out!). For the Czech fans: it's a shame it does not come with Czech dubbing but there's a fan project running to add it ;) The gameplay is replayable and you can bias your character however you want: be a hunter? a mercenary? a priest? a besieger? an alchemist? a wanderer? It's all there! In short - one of the best and most responsible games I've ever played! If you'll have the chance to grab the Royal Edition on the discount - don't hesitate!

The most controversial game ever

Its most detailed middle-aged game what I have played, if you want to know how mill mechanic works – play that game, If you want to know how middle age crane works – play that game and you can see detailed mechanic (gear and etc). Graphic are very beautiful and very detailed – especially water. Leveling system and skills are very good also. Environment and NPC activities are in my opinion better then in Witcher 3 was. Also theft and interception are very good. In jail you must spend days and in that way you may lost some of time stamped quest. You have tons of different dialogs and that codex is especially good. And that story, one of the best, cutscenes, acting, music, background sound – one of the best. Tons of activities and side quest. Characters are detailed (even if NPC model starting to repeat – it didn’t disturb me). But now about cons. Fighting in this game is so bad. It’s hard to see how so good game was screw because of fighting mechanic. Its messy and pointes. You are able to miss without a reasons, even if you point your sword tip (yellow dot) in to enemy. And you still miss it. Its a game where even leveling doesn’t help you a lot. If you see three enemy you are regular dead. And those damn invisible walls – bushes and horse who always will stuck. And there are quest what will just disappear (cant see any marks in map and cant add any marks). And that actor voice is so plain. Other characters are good but that main character voice acting is kind a poor and bad. So if you want to find some good and fast hacking game – then that game aren’t for you. I love those kind games and I love that story. That game is very long and DCL will add extra hours. So I think with 40 – 60h you are able to complete that game, but atleast 50% quest haven’t done with that time. I loved that story and even because if that fights system, I played that game teeth crossed I still rate it 4/5.

A good game, but hard to get into

I think this game is very well thought out. It's punishing; It's immersive; It's a whole ****-ton of cinematics. I think that was one of the things that made it hard for me to get into. It felt like the first part of the game was 4 hours of cinematics. The combat is brutal. You're not a hero. You're a peasant who needs to work on your skills before you'll be able to do anything meaningful. Life is hard, and you die.... A lot. Still, don't let that dissuade you. The game can be a bit slow at times, but it's also rewarding. I haven't finished the game, but I toy with picking it back up every now and again, only to be dissuaded by the fact that I know I've forgotten everything about the game and will have to relearn it all from scratch.

Wonderful historical RPG

The game Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a true marvel. Playing as Henry, the son of a blacksmith in early 14th century Bohemia, one is directly immersed in realistic and uncompromising stories of succession and politics. Despite the courteous spirit of the period, whether it is the weight of the church, the motivations of the characters and the political forces, everything is very well presented and proposes an adult glance on this time, not so well known and of which our contemporary glance is often caricatured. The game is not difficult but requires a lot of training to better master the gameplay and especially to unlock for example parries and ripostes. But fighting more than one opponent, even an average one, will remain dangerous and you will have to manage your stamina and cold blood with precision. Hunting for example becomes a real challenge and not a simple shooter. You will also have to be careful with your equipment, be sometimes presentable or stealthy, but above all well protected. This gameplay is really pleasant and the first person view makes the game even more immersive. As for the adventure, it allows us to see the importance of this region at this period of history and to be moved by the fate of the people embarked against their will in this fratricidal war. If we had to find some flaws, they would be a lack of depth in some quests and frequent back and forth. For the rest, everything is almost perfect. This game fully succeeds in its historical incursion into Central Europe. Play it without hesitation!
