Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Wasn't able to stick with it long enough to get into the deeper stuff. Combat seems like it could be interesting once you get the hang of it and the immersive-sim medieval peasant simulator stuff honestly seems like it could be pretty cool...if the game didnt run like absolute garbage. Typical crytek, looks great standing still but optimization is terrible. A 3700X and a 3090 should be able to absolutely chew through this game, but neither sees 100% usage in monitoring software and dips below 30fps are painfully common. Made it unplayable for me.

Surviving the torture at the beginning just to get even more scripted stuff. The idea of no savegame is a lie met with a lot of game over screens, I failed to see the point. Combat is torturing bad and the game does not provide a 'skyrim' environment to grow your char. Played for 1 day and uninstalled, I was tortured enough.

Finally a real rpg

KCD is a must have for all medieval adventurers! I love this game so much, and miss it a lot after I completed it! It is a one of a kind, a very unique experience. KCD is a life-like medieval adventure-action RPG/sim, historically accurate (as much as a fiction story can be). First-person perspective, deep gameplay, rich cinema-like lore, well-thought open world based on real places in 15-th century Bohemia of the Holy Roman Empire. There so much to do and explore. The game is pretty hardcore though, and often purposely unbalanced, like real life can be. It is an amazing work of art, though sometimes tough to beat. Highly recommended! The story, the characters, beautiful music score by a real composer and real orchestra, big variety of weapons, armor, clothes, quests, combos and progression. Good spirit overall and no BS. DLCs are also worth it, they add to the story a lot. I I don't know any other true medieval game like this, really. Can't wait for the KCD 2!
