A must for fans of the Arthurian myth !
It's the best game on the legend of King Arthur, a very good wargame and rpg. +mixing between rpg and wargame works well +Beautiful (graphically and the artistic direction) +Nonlinear (Be a Tyran or a good King, Catholic or Pagan) +Music -Animation in combat -archers too strong

A positive surprise
I was really positively surprised by how this game managed to capture me and keep me engaged for a long time. It was a long time since I sunk this many hours into a single game. The AI is not great, so the challenge comes from the way the games constantly throws new things at you to handle, but that really did not bother me the way I thought it would reading some of the reviews here. I found the many different aspects of the game kept it fresh for me for far longer than most games.

TUTORIAL How you can play this on WIN10
Hi, for those of you who love the first King Arthur game (King Arthur: The Role-Playing Wargame) as much as I do, I made a short tutorial video about how you can play it on the current systems because it is basically unplayable in default due to unending cycle of crashes. With this solution, it works quite well. Unplayable in 2025
I loved this game years ago, I’m currently running Win11 and I get hit with the dreaded runtime error message. After searching for fixes the only thing I can find is reverting back to Win 10 for it to “maybe” work. It’s a lot of effort to play a nostalgic game, so I quickly requested a refund. Saying this I remember the game being great, extremely story driven and if you’re a fan of dark fantasy Arthurian mythology then this is the game for you, if I could actually play it I would give it 5 stars but the one star is purely for the fact I can’t run the game.

Soo much potential, and yet....
I love this game. The quests are interesting. To assemble and micro managing your team, great! And the best part are the battles. There is so much strategical depth to them and there are all kinds of strategies to try. They remind a bit of total war, only heroes and magic play a bigger role. But oh boy, other things I hate about this game. First of all: the camera. Why isn't there the possibilty to freely move your camera? More top down for instance. Sometimes I am really struggeling to get a good view of the battle. Epecially on hillsides. But the biggest letdown is the overall progress. If you make a wrong decision early in the game (and you will), then later certain essential quest lines will be impossible to complete, forcing you to do others that you dont really want. Only optios are to load an earlier save, or to start over. This game could have been really great, but sadly the issues mentioned above are a real let down.
