Description
King Arthur Collection includes the following:
- King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame
- The Saxons expansion
- The Druids expansion
- Knights and Vassals DLC
- Legendary Artifacts DLC
- King Arthur: Fallen Champions standalone expansion

Welcome to the lost age of chivalry, a time of magic and myth where you must rule the land as one of the era’s living legends: Arthur, the son of Uther Pendragon, and the Once and Future King spoken of in prophecy.

Fulfill your destiny and claim your rightful place on the throne of Britannia. Send your heroes and their followers to battle legendary warriors and monsters, while saints and faerie folk test their mettle against wizards and evil knights.
  • Real-time fantasy battles: spectacular fight scenarios on grandiose battlefields, featuring thousands of soldiers and powerful heroes such as Sir Lancelot, Sir Galahad or Merlin. Battles rely on the strengths and weaknesses of the different arms with several tactical possibilities, the abilities of the units and the heroes, monsters and most of all, spells.
  • Turn-based Campaign Map: Britannia is represented as a fully three dimensional topographic map where heroes move freely, conquer provinces or find adventures. In the turn-based campaign the changing seasons have effect on the gameplay and the graphics of the Campaign Map.
  • Create your own legend! The saga of King Arthur is an epic tale about the conquest of Britannia through a story-based campaign. The Campaign is divided into chapters, like a chronicle, each with a unique tone and theme. The chapters all have objectives, long- and short-term goals that also fit together to draw a grandiose picture of an unfolding storyline. There are many possible events and outcomes that all influence the legend itself and determine the ending of the storyline.
  • Morality Chart: Every decision in the game will influence the position of King Arthur on the Morality Chart. King Arthur might become a Christian ruler or the Follower of the Old Faith; a rightful or a ruthless monarch. These choices unlock special contents, allies, heroes, units and developments.
  • RPG elements: Heroes lead the armies and learn skills, spells and abilities from an ability tree for experience points. Heroes can also use magic items or become liege lords, entrusted with the leadership of a province, which is the best way to have them indebted. Arranging their marriages with the nice damsels of Arthur’s court also raises their loyalty.
  • Adventures: adventuring is the essence of King Arthur’s world. Quests pop up on the Campaign Map regularly. In technical terms it is a short story where the chosen knight has to make important decisions. Some adventures end in battles on special battlemaps.

Great for the Mature Strategist

Do you like a challenge? No then turn away Do you like tight control game? If you like sandbox game where you can take your time playing FedEx while Armageddon will wait you finish collecting apples, then turn away. Do you like quest and functions that you actually have to read and think, multiple ways to complete a task and have long reaching consequence depending on your choice? If you like games as linear as a rail road so you need not think, and none of your choice matter, then turn away. Do you like games while diplomacy and loyalty actually matters, taxes you set, public safety, rulers you assigned, wife married, religion you choose, righteous or tyrannical? If you like games that does not punish you with rebellion due to your mistakes, can have war with anyone, anytime and wins, a hero only purpose is to have the biggest muscle or brain, turn away. Do you like RTS games that rewards you with the correct mix of units, skills, positioning, area control, strategy? If you like RTS games that let you win because you click faster or spam units, turn away. Because of the 2000 word limit of the review, I have to simply the remaining review in simple pro and cons. If you want to know more without resorting to gameplay video, look here http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?threads/king-arthur-the-roleplaying-wargame-old-faith-complete.54060/ It as a forum game where forum-ers vote on what choice King Aurthur should make and the OP acted on their votes and post pictures of his game confirming he is acting in accordance to their vote. Con: Camera control is serviceable but leave much to be desired. Custom graphic settings make the game crash at times. Picking from the default option and running in administrative mode solve that. I am going no where doing side quest and have no way to recover from my losses only. Later I found out that I only can rule and recruit after I complete my stronghold main quest. Pro: Great graphics, sound, gameplay, atmosphere.

Win 10 AMD APU users, please note.

Running with a AMD APU + Radeon Crossfire, this game looked like my monitor screen had been dipped in snot, sort of a green and nauseous-looking opaque fog. Blurred fonts, misaligned textboxes, all under Win 10. And therefore unplayable, to a degree. Win 7 however, is a different story using the same machine. It runs well with no visual corruptions.

A true strategy rpg King

it's simple ... do you like the "total war" formula? do you like 4 x? do you like Rpgs? do you like great and epic soundtracks? do you like King Arthur lore? Then this is the one you've been waiting for. It has a well paced progression system with mixed 4x and rpg elements at the sound of a epic soundtrack. it has a total war style combat mixed with the lore of King Arthur. Its also has some minor bugs, rare crashes and some strange controls but none of these outmatch the good of this gem. buy it. 9/10

Excellent Adventure Style Total War Game

This game is one of the best Adventurer Style Total War Games that is really underappreciated. The battles are interesting because of landmarks that give powers - so you end up fighting over strategic locations - and AWESOME concept missing from many games. The generals have powers that are useful and fun and make for interesting decisions. The economy and management is not a major part of the game, but enough. Is it an RPG? Not really as I understand it in gaming terms. I'd say more a Choose Your Own Adventure if anyone remembers those books. This is not a critiscism - just realigning expectations. The choices tend to feel like they matter. The alignment system is very interesting, and again feels like it matters and you can choose. I wish more games felt like the overall "story" that unfolds in this game beginning to end. Games that evolve a good story and sense of cause and effect are always better. And I love the battles! NOTE: The KA2 follow up is really disappointing. It held promise but just never felt the same and too much focus on "improving" battles for basically no gameplay gain.

Awesome Lore!

A wargame with a lots of reading,I love it! Combats are not really great or deep (I'm a Total War addict) but the feeling of playing within an Arthurian Legend is superb. And...It work fine on Windows 10 :) I'm sad that King Arthur II is unplayable for me on the same machine.
