Kane & Lynch: Dead Men immerses players in an emotionally intense crime drama with unflinching action. Io-Interactive's proprietary technology delivers fluid high definition graphics and lighting; highly destructible environments; massive crowd AI; single, co-op, and squad-based combat; a cinematic interface; and non-stop dialog between Kane and Lynch.

  • Tense and unpredictable experience - This is the violent and chaotic journey of two men: a flawed mercenary and a medicated psychopath. Each hates the other but must work together to save themselves and possibly the ones they love. Play Kane in single-player mode and either character in two-player co-op mode.
  • Violence erupts in meticulously created 'safe' worlds - Realistic and responsive environments and crowds react when events get of out control. Crowded nightclubs and calm bank offices become scenes of sudden terror. Manipulate the environments and crowds strategically to complete objectives.
  • Wide variety of intense 3rd person game play - Rappel from buildings; fire on the run or from moving vehicles; launch surprise attacks, lay down cover fire, and shoot blind from around corners; and hurl smoke, tear, and incendiary grenades.
  • Fast and intuitive combat - Lead a crew of criminal mercenaries to increase your chance of surviving and reaching your goals. You can also fight alone as your crew AI will automatically draw fire, throw grenades, lay down cover, and engage in close combat with their own signature moves.
  • Two-player co-operative game play - Team up and play the full story with a friend as either Kane or Lynch. On the big jobs, split the command of your crew. At any point in the game you can choose to play the next, or previous, levels in co-op.

Flawed but Raw, Worth Experiencing.

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men has one of the more unique histories in gaming. It definitely has its flaws—some big, some small—but the sharp dialogue and the way the actors deliver it really carry the experience. The same can’t fully be said for the gameplay. While fun most of the time, the terrible AI, somewhat clunky cover mechanics, sudden difficulty spikes in the last chapter, and a fair share of bugs can make it tough to play by today’s standards. That said, the level design is surprisingly creative for its era. The way civilians are implemented in the missions adds a sense of chaos and immersion that few games dared to try back then. For every flaw Kane & Lynch: Dead Men stumbles on, it makes up for it with style, uniqueness, rawness, and pure entertainment.

lack of QOL

The lack of QOL features killed this game for me. Everything in this game is poorly executed and mediocre. The shot dispersion is atrocious; sometimes even the first shot won't hit the target. Your grenades will bounce off invisible corners. Your allies will always be in your line of fire. The stealth phases are bland. The only thing saving this game from receiving one star is its atmosphere and its ridiculously low price when it's on sale.

Unstable

I found the game crashed a few times. And I don't see the windowed option in the options. If anyone has ways to make this more stable and a launch option for windowed mode, that'd be great

Clunky, but Enjoyable

I really like the concept and the story is ok, but the gameplay is a little clunky. I would say I died half the time due to some game mechanism. It is better to play with friend if that is still possible.
