Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death

DROKK! The idea is great, but the excecution is clunky. I believe Rebellion did the best that they could in 2003, however, I was suprised on how quick you can beat this game. The jump feature only works if I press space about 3 times, I found on a forum that this possibly has to do with Direct 8/9 wrapper missing. Rather than messing that I settled for the broken jumping. The Good: If you're a fan of the comic book series, they did a great job in the sublte references they put through out the game, The arrest feature is a lot of fun as well. The Lawgiver is a solid weapon, with multiple fire modes, yes you have a secondary weapon but other than the shotgun I barely used any of the other weapons. The soundtrack is awesome, nice mixure of ambient, techno, metal etc. The Bad: The Law Meter can be annoying, if you use high explosives, your "arrest" score will plummit and the mission will fail.,..Then why offer explosives? No map, can get easily lost. Medkits and ammo are a little sparse. The Ugly: The game throws a lot of enemies at you, which is kind of a cheap move, to artificially extend the game time. Happy I bought it, but I strongly recommend you wait for it on sale. Go take down some perps and send them to the ISO-CUBES! BE THE LAW!!

Pros- it's entertaining, decent story Cons- kind of easy to beat, the game is short

There have been many Dredd games over the years, some better than others, but this one isn't so bad. The gripes that I have about it is that Dredd really begs to be an open sandbox game with the character roaming around Mega City One dispensing law, but that's really got nothing to do with this version. I wasn't put off by the linear gameplay, but what I did take issue with was the constant product placing of Red Bull!

An underrated gem of first person shooter game that has aged well and still enjoyable Summary- If you are a fan of Judge Dredd comics and movies, this game is a must buy. It stays true to the source material. You are Judge Dredd who is the arbitrator of the law. Your arch nemesis Judge Death has been released from his prison and is terrorizing the people of your city. Your job is to fight and kill his henchmen, vampires, zombies and other powerful creatures and subdue him. Plot- The story is well written and the pacing is good. This is an immersive game. Most exciting elements of the game- (1) Arresting criminals and perps. That is where majority of the humor is. I arrested a graffiti artist painting the walls and gave him 2 years of imprisonment. I arrested a fat woman in a parking lot and she got ‘illegal parking’ charges. (2) Interesting and tense boss fights. Gameplay- One word- FUN. It is not at all frustrating. And the controls are fluid, smooth and easy to play. Nothing complicated. Graphics- For a game that is over a decade old, it runs fairly well and modern systems including windows 8 and does not have any glitches or game-breaking bugs. Sound- The voice acting, music, and special effects are fantastic and well done. You can tell the developers worked really, really hard polishing this game to perfection. Replay value- For Judge Dredd fans, yes there is. Glaring problems- None encountered. My opinion- Go buy this game if you want some old-school nostalgia, plot twists, humor and want to blast your way through multiple types of interesting enemies

Looks good for now but make it Fullscreen when you have a high Res already ! And when i set Anti Aliasing and wanna save the game always Crash directly after push the accept butto please fix that. I Use Windows 8
