Into the Breach

Best strategy game of all time.

I got this for free on Epic.

The graphics and the animations are good. The gameplay concept isn't interesting enough to retain your attention for the game to be replayable. The negatives: - Too much fragile objects in the game that you have to defend - the entire game is an endless turn-based tactical escort mission - Enemies are too buff - The teams (three that I have) are made of wet paper bags - Why introduce a pilot mechanic if they die like flies - The islands look almost exactly similar and provide no tangible interest/environmental mechanics to bring more interest to play, and more importantly - don't allow you to use the environment against your enemy, which is a failure for a game which declares and sets out to do just that - "active environment to defeat the enemy" Positives: the same above points, for the masochists. Overal, not worth the purchase, unless deeply discounted. Much worse and much less replayable than FTL.

This is like a boring, frustrating version of Final Fantasy Tactics or Ogre Battle. Not recommended.

The game is a failure that will give you unwinnable missions and make YOU suffer for it. You'll have missions in this game that will have too many hostiles to deal with and enemies that can't be killed within the time limit that will cost you later. None of this will be on the player, but on the system setup vs what you have and can do. Mulitiple unwinnable scenarios with nothing to gain except meaningless loss is not a strategy game. There's a good negative review on Steam by Watermelon Sports that I wish I saw before buying this. Check it out before believing the hype and wasting your money.
