Interstate '82

I've given up trying to make this work. On a pretty stock Windows 10 system in 2021, this won't even launch and after hours of reading forum posts and messing with DLL files and launchers, the best I can do is get halfway through the first mission intro before it locks up. You will be putting work into making this launch and run. Good luck.

Not as good as the first (which was a knock right out of the park) but still pretty good. I got it working on my W10 Home 21H1 laptop by opening the target folder and changing a setting on the shortcut launcher: - If you have Galaxy: Right-click launcher and select Manage Installation then Show Folder, then find and right-click on the "Launch Interstate '82" shortcut file, select "Properties", then click on the "Compatibility" tab, then click on the "Disable fullscreen optimizations" check box. Click on the "Apply" button and close. It should now be launchable from within GoG Galaxy. - If you use a desktop shortcut: Right-click on shortcut and select "Properties", then click on the "Compatibility" tab, then click on the "Disable fullscreen optimizations" check box. Click on the "Apply" button and close. It should now be launchable from the desktop shortcut.

The game crashes at the first attempt to start a new trip. Not playable at all. Not pleased.

I'82 is not the worst game, but comparing to it's prequel, no wonder it was the end of the Interstate-series. The graphics are just bad, physics are simply not included in the game whatsoever, the controls aren't user-friendly at all and the missions are boring. However, this is the kinda bad game, that it's still fun to play with friends or against bots in Instant Action mode. Also, the soundtrack (including some songs from DEVO) and the voice-acting are pretty well made!
