Interstate ’76® The Arsenal

As someone who play Twisted Metal series, i do say I-76 is a worthy game that make the series in shame, the car battle is semie realistic, taking too much damage in the car there a serious consequence there a possibility to lose your weapon, your car losing control, tired get flat, you cant be reckless. There also manager aspect adter you finish a mission you can recover left over material but you can bring them all and most of them need to be fix to full condition, putting situation do I need to fix this or my car item ? Since their only available after the next mission, there other I want but it would take too much but it have such deep mechanic and it quiet engaging even you can moefy the cars to your liked. Now there is a reason of why I cant put a 5 stars is due some issue the game have especially on modern hardware. If you install and play you will never beat the main campaigh due the CPU is too high not making a critical jump but you can find a fix in the GoG Forum of I-76 and the expansion pack for some odd reason it always crash after I finish a mission or a Death match even restarting will cause to crash I couldnt find a fix for that maybe some of you may not have that issue so I will say be careful. Overall this series show how you can be original without fully copy your rival it a shame that Activision doesnt use the license now but I guess if for the better

One of my all-time favourites, right here. There's a few tweaks one can do to fix the funky colour affair, but downloading a Glide wrapper works almost perfectly - besides a few limited problems with loading screen text, it otherwise works perfectly fine. The Glide Wrapper I use is nGlide - it's a single install, easily configured and anyone who can use this site well, should have no problem getting it to work. It's also completely free, so there's not really anything to lose.

Awesome fun, iconic visuals, humor and funk in the desert. The best thing about I76 is that in addition to speed and guns you needed strategy to make it through each level. Different enemies trigger depending on where you drive first, so you'd often find yourself redoing a level over and over again to find the right way to enter combat that doesn't result in your immediate death from a hail of missiles. I'm sure there are some technical glitches; survive them, baby.

I remember loving this game. The chases, and especially the music! The screenshots don't do it justice. This is one adventure that sticks in your mind years later because I believe it set the bench mark for this type of driving and combat. Mad Max ain't got nothing on this funky classic! Highly recommended!

If you're of my generation and played Steve Jackson's wargame Car Wars long ago, know that this is basically a 3D realtime computer game adaptation of that in terms of constructing your car and its recent alternative future setting. The missions are fun, and the voice work and plot are hilarious.
