Avoid spoilers
I'm a big fan of both deck builders and rogue-like - and this game opened up my eyes for horror/mystery and escape room formats. That being said, the story is the game and I strongly recommend you avoid spoiling the game ahead of playing.

Just play it
Stop reading reviews and just play the game. It's best experienced completely blind. If you're worried about difficulty, don't. The game accommodates for brainless players like me more than enough to avoid frustration, even as a rougelite. This game is one of the most engaging, fun games I've played in a while. It's a wonderful experience through and through.
