On the evening of the fall of the Berlin wall, a young woman plunges headlong into a parallel dimension to find her missing work colleague who has disappeared under mysterious circumstances. While the checkpoints in East Berlin are still being overrun by crowds of people, Nora escapes from this world, into unknown layers of time and into an unknown fate.
Profound story: Experience a classic story-driven first-person shooter with about 4 hours of gameplay
Tight atmosphere: Dive into a lovingly designed world full of mystery and lynchesque surreality
Deadly danger: Enemies lurk around every corner - defend yourself with 4 different weapons
Unique setting: Berlin at the time of the fall of the wall meets a surreal industrialized city
Experimental soundtrack: Synthesizer, acoustic instruments and melancholic vocals
Berlin, 9th November 1989: The streets are full of people. After four decades of division, thousands of cars are rolling across the inner-German border. The Wall is finally open!
At the same time a man disappears in a secret research facility near East Berlin. His goodbye message reaches you too late. You drive back to the office, where the State Security has already destroyed all records of the research project. The complex is deserted and empty.
The search for Walter takes you deep into the center of the facility - right into the heart of the universe, where time seems to stand still. The dark secret lurks - well hidden - behind the curtain. In the end, it is horrible insights and the questions of responsibility that make you dive deeper and deeper into a strange, surreal yet familiar world.
A somewhat good story with nice visuals. I think the devs were inspired by games like Half Life, Dishonored (this is a clear one) and maybe Metro style of semi-open world game. I like this mix of idea from other games. It has some tehnical issues with some frame drops and sometimes stutter but other than that it ran fine on my PC. Maybe if it was more polished on the tehnical aspects and the visuals it would have had more attention from the targeted gamers. Other than that I am looking forward for Industria II.
It looks like a FPS but plays like a walking simulator, not much combat and just a lot of walking and enemies are no challenge at all. Only good weapons are the shotgun and sniper rifle, of course they make you scavenge for ammo which is just time wasting filler, oh and don't worry about the batteries, they are useless and your flashlight works fine/forever without them.
Profound story: profoundly boring
Tight atmosphere: basic world graphics, nothing amazing
Deadly danger: enemies are a joke and weapons are stock
Unique setting: Berlin in constant rain cloud cover
Experimental soundtrack: What?
If you can get it for less than $5.00 on sale and don't mind a walking sim with sparse combat and a meh story you can finish in less than 4 hours them maybe this game is for you
Not perfect, but I've played for more than 30 years, and newer game suck, as the story itself is zero.. this one had a great story and dialog, and it was awesome in that regard.

First review ever as I really feel the urge to give some shoutout to this game...
Yes - there were a few minor bugs - and yes - it is a little too short... It kind of feels like its missing some parts - it would have worked so good as a Multi episode title - so that the city you start in might really just have been the start of the game instead of beeing the main level - but thats whining on a very high level. Keep in mind this is such a small development team/game studio...
The atmosphere, the setting/ feel of the background story, sound and graphics - all top notch... Graphics style and gameplay kind of made me feel like a crossover of Half Life and Dishonored - but I guess thats subjective as I also played Dishonered more like a shooter (I know - shame on me...).
I would strongly advice to give this game a chance - especially if it is on sale. Don`t rush through it as it kind of short - read the journal entries to learn a bit more about the story (also it still feels incomplete), watch the cutscenes and be entertained. And please: don`t be deterred by bad ratings because of bugs - as of today it is really playable.
In the final scene there is a promise of a reunion - I really hope they mean that like in a sequel. I would definitely play that one... As this is the only regret: I wanted to dive into that game much more...
Good work guys...
