Description
1939 - the eve of World War II. Nazi agents are about to get their hands on a weapon more dangerous than the atom bomb. Only Indy can stop them before they unleash the deadly secret that sank Atlantis!

In Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, you play the role of Indiana Jones, famed archaeologist-adventurer, as he attempts to discover and explore long-fabled Atlantis. Nazi agents, eager to unleash the powers of Atlantis against an unsuspecting world, are hot on Indy’s heels… or have they already passed him?

Here’s where you come in: you direct the actions of Indy (and, occasionally, his one-time colleague turned psychic, Sophia Hapgood) in his search for Atlantis. Periodically, Indy will be called upon to drive a car, ride a camel, pilot a balloon, operate a submarine, and repair and use Atlantean machinery. Beyond that, there will be a heap of mysterious puzzles to unravel and a slew of dangerous encounters to survive. With the help of your wits, your fists, and your trusted companion, you and Indy will eventually discover the true Fate of Atlantis!

  • Point 'n' click your way through fistfights, puzzles, balloon rides, car chases and Indy one-liners.
  • Explore over 200 spectacular locations as you take Indy to such exotic backdrops as Monte Carlo, Algiers, and the island of Crete.
  • Hear exclusive iMUSE create a musical score that follows your every move.
  • Play and replay - three unique challenging paths to vanquish the Reich.

Classic Point & Click

Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis is probably the best Point & Click Adventure of all times. I played it back in it's days on the Amiga (with "only" 12 floppy disks) and I still play it from time to time (with big thanks to GOG).

Why did they make Crystal Skull?

When I look back on this incredible game, my only regret is that Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was made, instead of a tribute to this fabulous adventure. Perhaps the best voice-acting of any adventure game, from cheezy to spot-on. Great selection of areas. Wonderful puzzles. I started the game in the 90s and beat it last year...it's the kind of game you that really stands up to the test of time. Can't recommend it enough.

Maybe nostalgia, but awesome game

I used to play and replay this game over and over again decades ago. What I liked best about it was the atmosphere of mystery and emotion that was invoked by the locations. The puzzles are pretty good, nothing impossible but also not a cake walk. There is humor, a wide variety of locations and even multiple ways to play through the game for re-playability. Atlantis itself (not a big spoiler considering the title) evoked for me a sense of grandeur and decaying sadness that I still remember to this day. Decent plot, great game, definitely fun.

GOG is now complete - FoA is here

This is the best point-and-click adventure game ever made. While that's quite a subjective thing to say, I can think of no better way to put it. Naturally nostalgia fuels this sentiment, but when the chips are down and if you held a gun to my head and asked me to name my favourite GAME of all time, it would be Fate of Atlantis. When you first begin the game, you'll at first wonder if it's still in the spirit of the first three movies. It's a bit off-beat and even slightly campy at times. Indy's banter seems slightly out of place, but then suddenly everything clicks. This is a LucasArts game first and foremost, but where it's different than Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion is that it embodies the spirit of its source material and feels like a fourth film in its own right. As separate IPs, Monkey Island and Mansion weren't able to capitalise on this, but in the case of Indy, it all came together beautifully. The game was very hard when I was young, and I remember getting a book at my local library that offered a walkthrough for a number of adventure games released during the period. Today, the idea of checking a book out of the library for this purpose seems downright archaic. Perhaps that's what I've become. The characters are very well developed and I think I still have a crush on Sophia Hapgood. The environment, the Lost City of Atlantis, was a perfect setting for this game and allowed for something that would have been quite poorly executed in film form. It's a downright shame that this is a movie we never got. The 2008 film could have certainly been FoA and even at Ford's age, the story would have worked. Never mind. Forget the film, play the game and experience a legendary adventure.

Incredible All Around

From the impeccable puzzle designs, to the beautiful visuals, to the entrancing music, to the immersive story, this game is just absolutely incredible. It truly is an Indiana Jones adventure, not some cheap tie-in game.
