Incoming + Incoming Forces

This game was considered as "Independence day" unofficial game adaptation, and because that official one (from Radical Entertaiment) sucked, this game became quite popular among the movie fanbase. I rememeber this game was pretty, but challenging. It was not easy to take down that big mothafukka alien mothership. But hey, it was the best way to feel like Will Smith in the movie, so it is worth it even now!

seems like an enjoyable game but have personally had lots of difficulty getting it to run well on modern windows so do some research before buying

If you missed Incoming on the Dreamcast, then here's a chance to find out what the fuss was about. Mindless shooting action, where each wave changes between turrets, planes, alien ships, etc. to keep things fresh. The graphics were bleeding edge for the time, and now shine in a simplistic retro kind of way, reminding you of a time when 3Dfx ruled the world! The whole thing has a B-movie feel to it, and there's enough content here to keep things going for a long while until you complete it. Incoming forces adds a bit more to the mix, and while it doesn't quite live up to the original, it retains much of its charm. Overall, a great bargain for a low price, and one of a dying breed of PC games you just don't see much of anymore.

Out of the box the sound doesn't work at all on my system. I don't have the patience to find a work-around so dont know if it is an easy fix.

This game is currently unplayable with the mouse, there is terrible mouse lag and it is extremely difficult to aim. There seems to be a bug or glitch involving either newer versions of Windows from XP onwards and/or the game not supporting newer hardware or both. Wait to see if GOG release a fixed version but until then stay well clear.
