Great game but..
Good old days! I loved this game from the start due to the great transporting network and business that one need to setup. It also teaches a great deal about economics. But where is Imperialism 2 which is far better than the original!

Better than it's sequel
What I like about the first one is more of an aspect on tactical warfare. This game is classic and newer generations of Gamers ought to try this out. Its a classic and still is good even after so many years.

As Good As Ever
I'll be brief - this was one of my favorite games when it first came out back in the 1990s (I'm so glad I bought it when both it and Imp2 were in stores and I could only pick one). The game isn't pefect, but for something that came out almost 30 years ago it beats a lot of what is on the market with 10x the budget and which cost so much more. I wouldn't begrudge a remake (maybe with some more variety on the battle maps or larger "world maps"), but the game is still a great way to watch hours vanish.

A little Gem
I've bought it almost 30 years ago so far.... Little challenging gem, with simple but really enjoyable graphics (i mean there are no awful pixelled things round there though it was windows 95 age...), lovely musics and artworks by 19th century English painters like Turner... I know i sound nostalgic, but maybe lack of resources forced developers to be original.. but i see nothing comparable to imperialism round here nowadays... alas gog doesn't provide italian version of it, but still if you enjoy strategics, have a try: it's worth it
