Disappointing.
I'm a pretty casual gamer, but still managed to completely overtake the CPU on my second attempt at a campaign. Anyway, too much of the gameplay is just waiting for things to happen. The battles were just lo-fi Total War, lacking many of the features which make TW fun. The strategy map is pretty cool, and the atmosphere is nice, and that's about it.

Great, but would recommend the mods
This game is good, worth playing if you like the genre - it's faster paced that E:TW & Napoleon. I would say you want to get the mods such as Battle Mod, as well as one that adds artillery officers & men. Smoke mod makes it look a bit cooler too. Definitely worth a look, addictive as hell, even coming home drunk I have loaded this up to have an ill-fated blast!

Crashing a lot
I simply love this game, played it since it first came out. It feels like Total War but on a different era and on different graphics. Get 3 stars from me cause i simply just love it. The two missing stars is for the GoG version that do crashes a lot on Windows 10. For those who missed it and want to play that game once again while having windows 10 i would not recommend it. Takes away all the fun really.

Crashes after battles
I loved this game back when it came out. I was glad to see it here. The only issue I have is with the crashes that come after battles. It closes to GOG Galaxy syncing. The battles are a large part of the fun, and when it crashes after every battle you control it becomes unplayable.

Great if....
....you like war sim games. LOTS of strategy. In fact there is a very lengthy tutorial in the beginning. Tutorial is inadequate though..."training" is more like it. Good game. Was surprised by the realistic battlefield strategy.
