I have this on the Switch but worry about the day my Switch may fail or it will no longer be available for download. Now I have a copy I can use in 20 years if i need. It plays on the Mac and PC perfectly. Looks 4X amazing on a widescreen CRT TV (if you have one). It is a no-brainer when on sale. This has everything you could want from a retro game. What you see in the trailer is what you get!

I wasn't ready for how good the pixel art is in this game. Feels like some of the best I've seen, and I've seen a lot. Plus an amazing soundtrack. And it's quite fun and a perfect pastiche of every 80's cliche and otherwise pop culture reference about a techno-future. Plenty of challenge but doesn't force it on you. Secrets and trophies. Cool characters. Very nice

So many games try and fail to capture the magic of old school run-and-guns, but this one definitely pulls it off. The gameplay is fantastic with an appropriate amount of movement options, super-responsive controls, great music and sound effects, and excellent quips by your character as they mow down bad guys. Each boss fight is roughly the same difficulty, but each boss is unique and requires learning their patterns, making these fights one of the best parts of the game. Also, the soundtrack is excellent and it's one of the few video game soundtracks that I would consider listening to outside of the game, so if that's your thing, I would recommend getting the copy that includes it.

Super polished, memorable art and gameplay. Sometimes frustrating in singleplayer.

Pure honey. Gorgeous, SNESy-like, but way richer graphics buffed with smooth animations and deathly sick soundtrack to top an absolutely sweet gameplay with nicely weighted difficulty rise, that starts generously easy and becomes more challenging with each next level. A true masterpiece. Too bad it ends so quickly...
