There is, undeniably, a large element of this game which encourages the user to try and have sex with as many different women as possible, getting sent images of them in various states of undress along the way - all by showing your prowess at match-3. The match-3 on its own, though, is one of the most competent, well-balanced match-3 games you will play: instead of swapping adjacent gems a la Zookeeper/Bejewelled, you can move a gem anywhere along either its horizontal or vertical axis. You can take bonus items with you into each level, and you have limited moves in which to reach a score total. Different girls have different preferences for colours; and you can upgrade different colours before each match-3 session based on how well conversations with the girls have gone, and which gifts you have spent the money on and given the girls. In isolation, the game itself is a very, very solid puzzler requiring tactics and load-out management. There are some pretty easy clichés within the girls themselves - and even the game calls itself out for casual racism at several points. The game's scripts is far from charming or nuanced, and once you have taken a woman to bed, the way the game is set up means that talking to that woman again gets you no further reward: but I feel that I am offering up more sophisticated criticism of the wrapping of the game itself than it warrants - this is Strip Poker for the 64-pit generation, nothing more, nothing less: except it is a very, very good puzzler.

I didn't expect much from this game but it turned out to be great mix of puzzle matching, anime and dating sim. It's all plain simple and relaxing to play, but one things made me stop and I can't get through it... It's number of slots in your inventory. Way too small to collect all items, game forces me to threw away some of them to make space for new ones. No, sorry. I just don't like such choices. I'm just like that. :P If they won't patch it to make inventory bigger - I REFUSE to play! Anyway had lots of fun till I ran out of free space, definitely worth buying on sale. Oh, one more thing - voice acting is just great, really, didn't expect it to be done this way, other games of this type usually stop on just text and some royalty free melody in the background. Devs really put lots of efforts into keeping proper quality of this product. It's not one of these scam-games based of few naked pics.

Gentlemen, if you enjoy puzzles with a generous helping of softcore and RPG then this game's for you. Don't take HuniePop seriously, because it's strictly a fun take on dating sims minus the explicit content found in most anime. On the other hand, HuniePop is more complex and well crafted than it might first appear to be. The visuals are two dimensional, but evocative, and the voice acting gives the girls you'll encounter real personality. Before long, you'll begin to react to them as though they're real, within the game's fantasy environment of course. HuniePop's sexy appeal and wit don't attempt to be virtual reality. As for the puzzles, they start off challenging and become more difficult with each date. Memorization and sound strategy are mandatory because there are so many facets which must be accounted for if you're going to be successful. As the game unfolds, it becomes clear just how much effort went into its design. Gameplay isn't linear, so HuniePop seems to have considerable replay value. It's hard to beat this game's combination of entertainment and price.

HuniePop is my favorite puzzle game. The challenge and strategy you need to be successful in each date makes the game very addictive. There is enough content to keep you playing for 50+ hours. After you complete the story you can play 100 Alpha dates which are very satisfying to beat.

HuniePop was a reasonably nice and fun game. I would have liked an actual "ending" or a "finale" to the main plot, one bigger than just activating "Alpha mode". I disliked the two "hidden" girls that you need to do too in order to complete the main plot, just when you think you are through with the plot... Be cafeful: not for children, no cloud saves, no achievements... and if you beat the game over a weekend you'll be hearing its melodies for a few days onwards. Recommended on sales, 4/5
