I don't own it yet in GOG but I have in Steam and is a very good game, I plan to buy it in GOG to but as I don't print money I will wait for a good discount, so for now here goes to my wishlist, but if you don't already have it the full price is worth it
I love the game setting and it's a wonderful world but the game is crashing way too often to be enjoyable. Since it's not possible to quicksave any time you want, this means that you have to keep clearing places several times over and over again while hoping that the game won't crash before you make it to a campfire to save the game or a rare autosave triggers.
I've played this game on PS4. Throughout the entire game I didn't feel any connection with the characters. The only character with some character development is Erend. And, seriously guys, not to bash on this game, but it is so immersion breaking when the white guys are either antagonistic or bullies or alcohol addicts etc. or even needs saving. The women or people of color are either leaders, kind, get to live longer on average etc. Sorry but that were a pattern I saw. This made the game painfully predictable at times.
The combat and enemies are unique. That one I must admit. But for me it got stale after a while.
The only good things I can give this game are the graphics and its borrowed systems being well implemented (not counting combat). But those alone don't carry the game.
So this is at its highest a 4 out of 10 experience for me. 1 point for the graphics, 1 point for a functional game, 1 point for well implemented mechanics, 1 point for Erend and the combat.
While my laptop manages to play most games, sadly Horizon Zero Dawn is effectively unplayable due to lag and framerate issues.
I have a Windows 10, 64 bit laptop with an AMD Ryzen 7 4700U with Radeon Graphics (2.00 GHz).
I would advise that anyone wishing to buy this game pays particular attention to the system requirements.
(3 stars intended as a neutral score as I chose not to proceed past the initial tutorial due to the technical issues encountered)
