Team Cherry, you've done it again

Honestly, this game is kicking my ass. I remember struggling a little bit with the original Hollow Knight, but this is something completely different. I've heard some people compare Hollow Knight to Dark Souls, and I can't help but agree. However, if Hollow Knight is Dark Souls, then Silksong is like Sekiro with just how complex the series has become. Bravo Team Cherry (and MASSIVE props to Christopher Larkin, their composer, for another beautiful soundtrack. So happy y'all could get the live orchestra!)

Perfect Metroidvania for hard game fans

Its a step up from hollow knight in everyway, much more challenging much bigger, and more enthralling. the only lackluster part would b e that since its a sequel hollowknight it doesn't have that same 'first time discovery' feeling that game had.

Sequel became a chore

I'm 40 hours into the game, and I tell you, the game is not enjoyable due to sections designed to annoy you and make you miserable. I feel like I'm doing Path of the Pain from Hollow Knight all the time. Every other aspect of the game is a nice upgrade or done engagingly and differently. I'm a hardcore fan of Hollow Knight, but Silksong is more of a CupHead and hardcore platformer. It's NOT for casuals. I'm not sure if I'll manage to make it to the end :(

Beautiful. Challenging. Detailed.

I read a lot of the reviews out of curiosity, and those 3 and below star ratings are hard to read, as they just completely miss the picture. This game is stunning, thoughtfully created to cover an incredible level of detail. The fight mechanics are so well done. It forces you to take your time, learn the levels and really figure out what kind of play style works for you. I find myself learning something new every time I play and when you overcome one of the more challenging bosses, you feel pretty damn good about yourself. Nothing but high praise for this game. My kid loves watching (despite never thinking I'm going to beat any boss) and I love playing. Nice that you can play for short or long periods of time and just enjoy exploring the new areas. This game is 5-star quality from start to finish. I have no complaints. Support this one, fellow gamers. It's beautiful.
