One of my favorite games ever made

Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of the very best titles in the genre. Its design is difficult and borderline sadistic at times, but it is incredibly fair, and always gives options for how to do things and what to do. It's a massive evolution over the original title and completely raptured my attention for the two weeks it took to fully play through. One of the best games of the year and one of the best indie games ever.

What could have been

I loved Hollow Knight, at least, until it turned into a spinning blade mash fest. I really wanted to like Silksong but the controls are a bit slippery and playing as a glass cannon sucks. I play to relax and enjoy not participate in some self punishment fantasy.

It is not Hollow Knight

Very mixed feeling about this game after 30 hours of playtime (probably mid Act 2). Yes It is very good. Music is amazing, story I'm still a bit lost, scenario, art, everything very well designed. But the problem is...it is not getting fun anymore due to the increased dificulty. Hollow Knight was much more fun because you have the exploration part and the bosses, that was difficult but you have fun on learning process. In Silksong it seems that developers just try to punish you. Get Good they say, yes, that is the part of the game, but getting good it not fun in this game because of excess of punishment. I think that I will abandon the game. I play games for fun, not for stress. That is the reason I never played Soulslike games. As I said, unfortunately, for me, this is not Hollow Knight.

Very hard for casual players, it's a shame that the vanilla game does not give an option for easy difficulty. Modding required...

just finished the game

Just finished this game and is beautiful. It does some annoying things but this game does so much right that it outweigh the problems and makes me love this game deeply. Kinda recommend a lot to be honest, is beautiful, everything on this game is beautiful. Also, is far better than the first hollow knight, i love this game
