A bit of a disappointment
I know this being the most anticipated game in like a decade. But I'm not gonna d ride Team Cherry just becuase of that. This game is very flawed. WHich is so infuriating. There's so much awesome stuff worth the 6 year wait, thats absolutly dragged intot he sea with bad descisions. The constant unbearbly long and unfun arenas, the bosses being just damage sponges. The bench placements ect. I wished this would have been the 10/10 to HK's 9/10. But it just isn't in my opinion and I'm not sorry. Be mad like I know the internet will. I'm not 18 anymore so randos on the internet with too much time on their hands being mad doesn't effect me.

big shoes to fill
gameplay doesn't feel rewarding. combat seems based around the rather clunky down dash attack, which just doesn't feel good at all??? the platforming with it is fun, but once again too focused on the dash. gonna go play hollowknight again.

Peak but could use refinement
I've beaten Silksong and I have to say, I love it, it's a great game and I recommend buying it. I love the atmosphere, story, characters, lore, and bosses. My main issue is that I think some of the bosses could use some tweaking, they didn't ruin the expirence for me but some bosses just feel cheap and unfun to deal with.

No Spoilers: At least as good as HK :)
I'm not very far into it yet, but it has all the elements that made Hollow Knight such a good game: Interesting lore, great platforming, great combat, interesting characters. It will feel really familiar, with changes that fit Hornet's character and style better. If you liked Hollow Knight, you'll like this one too. :) Also, I'm suspecting Silksong might be better than HK, but it's currently too soon for me to tell. If you like the Metroidvania game genre, you'll love this. :)
