Incredible game, insane value
Long story short, the game is massive, packed with content, plays like a dream, and is polished to a mirror shean. This game can stand shoulder to shoulder with any top quality game out there, in any regard, and all that for a mere 15 bucks! It's not just a amazing game for 15 bucks though, it's an amazing game, period. From the moment you step into this world you realise that you are entering into something special. Everything is so carefully crafted. Every character is brimming with charm. The main character, NPC's, enemies, bosses, so many great designs. They feel unique, timeless, inspired. The zones, I feel, all fall into this same category. And when rounded out with incredible sound design and music, you get a unique atmosphere, and a world that is an absolute joy to explore. The metroidvania formula is here and works as well as it ever has. The world is unbelievably large though, so it's one you can really sink your teeth into. And with an incredible variety in zones, enemies, bosses, npc, and discoveries, you won't get tired of it! Another game it channels quite a bit as well is dark souls. With interesting enemies and bosses who have different offensive and defensive patterns as well as behaviour, you get that same thoughtful, deliberate combat. Add to that some high quality precision platforming and you get an incredible package of pure gameplay joy. This game has it all, and even at full price is a complete steal. Please, if you are at on the fence about this game, take the plunge!

I downloaded this game pirately but then i realized this gem and the developers deserve the money, this game is awesome I love the story the characters and the huge world. This game is something wonderful with awesome music and super creative bosses, the only thing I think was missing is a boss fight in the beehive haha. But everything in the game is just awesome I love the details and the secrets yet to be found also I love how challenging it is, I've died a lot of times. Just buy it and you won't regret your money. :D

My favourite platformer in 2017
After 30 hours of exploring and fighting, I got to the final boss. And then spend another 10 hours trying to best the ultra boss. Finally beat it, 10 hours wasted on one boss and no regret. FeelsGood!

For once, go Hollow!
I seriously cannot recommend this game enough. I'd like to start off by saying that I have had my control issues with the game. Jumps not registering in time, certain moves "sticking" for a bit, etc. However, the game is so fantastically good that it overshadows those issues. This is a Metroidvania game, and with that comes the exploration and backtracking you would expect. Except, the backtracking is a bit more extensive here. You're not just going through environments. The games makes it feel like you're exploring a derelict kingdom. You'll encounter cities, mines, villages, and you'll visit them all more than once. The characters also play a role in making this game a bit larger than it actually is. Each shopkeeper and other non-hostile NPC filled to the brim with personality. Not to mention the scenery. I was worried at first that things would appear too similar. That the color tones and such wouldn't change. I am happy to say that those fears were misplaced, as this game has done nothing but astound me at every turn. I love the feeling of exploration in this game. Charting out areas has been very fun for me. You see, you don't have a map of any area. You have to purchase one. But the maps you purchase are incomplete, as the mapmaker can't travel everywhere. Some places are too dangerous. So you have to buy a quill and chart out areas yourself. But adventuring keeps you too busy to simply draw a map at any time! You have to sit down at a bench, where your little bug will draw on his map and update all the places that you've been! It draws out the game a bit more, but it makes it feel like I'm really trying to chart out my paths through the labyrinth of rooms. And I love it. For $15, I really cannot recomment this game enough. Get the soundtrack if you can. It's filled with many piano pieces, something I've missed from musical scores of games. I've put in around 18 hours into the game so far and still have not finished it. Now THAT's a great game!
