ONE OF THE BEST GAMES EVER MADE!!!

to this day unreached, i love this game ever since. when i played it back then, i sow a bright potential of were games are heading in the future. im still waiting of a predecessor of this masterpiece

Game breaking bug

It`s a fantastic military game, probably the best to this day, yet they didn`t fix a game breaking bug in first Africa mission where documents required to finish this mission are nowhere to be found. I spent probably 3 hours playing and carefully progressing only to find out that there is a bug and I have to start again. Unacceptable.

The greatest game of all time

I cannot even begin to say how happy I am that H&D2 has finally arrived on GOG. This is my favorite game of all time and remains to this day, in my humble view, unsurpassed. Let's go through some the flaws first: -No widescreen, and max resolution is 1280x960. -There are bugs, including a pretty nasty one during the Spaghetti Airport mission which will render it unfinishable if you're unlucky. -The AI is inconsistent, sometimes it works great, other times not so much. So what makes this game so great? You're not a lone hero saving the world. You can play that way ("Lone Wolf") but the regular campaign gives you control over four men, either by voice (or hand) commands or directly, that you get to choose, based on their stats (these improve the more you use them too) and profiles. There are no restrictions on who you can bring or how they're equipped, beyond the 4-man limit. If you want four snipers, you can have that, or maybe you don't want any snipers, that works too. There are no classes, no limitations on who can carry what, all of that is up to you. The freedom on who does what doesn't happen today, I think, but it does in this fabulous game. This goes for tactics too. At no point in the game are you told how to do something, no "go here" or "wait here while this NPC does this." If you want to be stealthy, you can (don't forget your disguise!), or if you'd rather just lay down massive amounts of fire, you can too. Finally, the immersion. In the very short soldier profiles you'll read things like: "He was a baker," "he isn't too well liked," "he is married to Maria and has one daughter, Gertrude." Just little tidbits of information, but enough to imply a personality to each soldier and to fuel our RPG-needs. The music is absolutely amazing, and some of the weaponsounds (Springfield, Bren gun) are too. This game is fantastic, but I don't think I can do it justice with words. It might sound like it is, but it is. Now begins the wait for an HD remaster...

Pure Soul

I can tell a lot of love was put into making this game, and it resulted in a tactical WW2 shooter experience that far surpassed my expectations. More people need to know about this game.
