Its just bad

While it does have some things I like about the game, it also have a lot of drawbacks. Especially when you compare it to HOMM 2, 3 and 5. Fx while I like the idea about having your hero as a living strong unit on the battlefield, combat overall just sucks in general. Its not as bad as HOMM6 but it is not good either. And if you should play HOMM4, I would recommend you play it with quick combat turned on, as the overworld plays can be a little enjoyable.

My favorite game

Heroes IV is my favorite entry in the series, a complete overhaul over the first 3 that breathes new life.
