When Erathia's King Gryphonheart is murdered by traitors he is resurrected as an undead warlord who leads a ruthless invasion of his former Kingdom. Little resistance is met until his daughter Catherine, Queen of Enroth, returns to her homeland commanding an army of elite Enrothian warriors. Meanwhile the Necromancers raise large hordes of undead and advance towards the Erathian capitol. Queen Catherine receives the aid of her father's survived generals and embarks on a crusade to reclaim her lost land.

You control the greatest heroes and fiercest creatures in a conflict of epic proportions, as Cathereine fights to restore her family's rightful reign, uncover her father's killers and free him from the dark prison of his undead body!

Best classic game ever made.

Just that. Buy it and enjoy endless offline fun. Great to hot seat as well with your mates and some beer. All time classic.

A True Classic

So much has been said about HoMM3. For me, it is the only game from my childhood I still regularly play and remains among my favorite games to this day. I would highly recommend this to basically anyone who likes computer games at all. The art, music and gameplay have all aged extremely well. After you have played this version a while I would also recommend trying the HoTA mod as it adds many features to the game and makes it playable online via a lobby with other people.

Thank god for GOG!

So I recently unearthed my HOMM III cds to install them on my new laptop. Much to my horror I no longer have an operating system that is compatible. So here I go downloading it! One of the most fun games I have ever played. Sure I might get swept up with the newer products, but the old classics never fail to provide an evening of enjoyment.
