Heroes of Might and Magic® 2: Gold

I love this game but it took almost 20 hours to download. Still worth it.

This game has suckered me in over and over again over the past 12 years. I cannot get enough. I am not going to go into detail but I will say that if you like world exploration and character development in a game but don't want to go too deep this is the right game. Its simple, what it does it does well, and although the graphics and battle sequences might be a bit mundane they are still fun and require a bit of forward thinking. I highly recommend this to the casual gamer that doesn't care so much for graphics but wasting an afternoon to forget about work.

This game is everything to me. I remember playing HoMM first one on win 95 and at that time didnt know what was this game. When HoMM 2 came out oh man how many hours i spend on that amazing title. It was so addicting. Even on this day playing this game and HoMM 3 i feel something magic in my heart. Those feelings make my heart to cry ;)

This is one of my favourite games. It's fantastic. Only gripe (and it's kinda small) is that you can't play it in windowed mode. I don't know how many hours I sunk into this game in the 90's, but it was a lot. Grab it because it's great!

HoMM1 runs perfectly on dosbox. However, HoMM2 here has some problems with sound effects. If sound effects enabled, graphics stutter all the time and input is lagging as hell. But once you disable sound effects (down its volume to 0 in game settings) - all the issues go away. Still playable, but personally I cannot enjoy the game running like this. I spent hours of tweaking with this and didn't find any solution. So I guess it will go to the shelf until I figure out how to play it without annoying glitches.
