+++ Art direction, atmosphere ++ gameplay : hard, but rewarding rigor ++ combat boss : epic ++ music : sets a deep-dark-futuristic-corrupted-techno-daemonic ambiance :D + cool graphics + panel of combat-styles + level design : complex and clever + plenty of secret passages everywhere + you discover many parts of the lore through gazing the world --- can't pause the game : huge issue when you live with someone else or animals -- still some bugs (escpecially in Blue Sun DLC) - it was kind of boring for me to get lost so often ^^' - some secrets are just too hard to find (no clue for some demolishable walls, order to kill some specific ennemies,...) CONCLUSION : I will be happy to try the New Game + or a new character to experiment new combat style (to use magic or ranged weapons for instance)

A typical soulslike in a dark sci-fi setting, somehow similar to Event Horizon. The combat is fluid and fun, if repetitive, but the major focus is on exploration, as the map is very complex and full of secret areas and interconnected shortcuts. If you're into the sensation of being lost and not knowing exactly where you are and where you're supposed to be going, this is the game for you. A bit too obscure, maybe: after having played all four endings, I still have absolutely no idea whatsoever about anything in the plot or lore. Zero. No clue at all.

Hellpoint is a souls-like game set in space, so prepare the meet the usual horde of difficult enemies & brutal combat combined with some very nice visuals. My main gripe is the lack of a map (I have a terrible sense of direction). Another issue I noticed is that inspecting the yellow handprints causes the game to glitch out; the only way to remedy it is to force close the game, which makes you lose your progress.

I like the game but it needs more polish. Jump feels bad, and overall animations doesn't feel fluid. But that isn't as bad as some bugs like reading other players messages, the controls locks and you can't do a thing. Other than that, the ambiance feel really dark and lonely, feels like a survival horror at times. The ship is ominous and the enemies are ok.

I've been trying to go through games I've had in my library to play before buying new games and I wish I could go back to make sure I had never gotten this game It's so tedious, riddled with bugs, repetitive and dull
