Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

Game is Great Top 20 i´ve ever played, Just buy.

I already expected this game from it's high ratings that it must be good. But boy, this was a blast. This is one of my very best games i've ever played so far. Not because it had such a special or great combat experience, but for the story it tells, the quality the developers put into this. If you like your games to be something more than just "gameplay", prefering a strong and serious story - you gotta try this! Graphics and Sound are a pleasure aswell, still holding up to very high standards today.

Well.. That's .. mmm.. ..the game just cuts you to pieces, burn them in the fire, then put them back together and sacrifice to the sacred gods, then brings you back, bleed it out and throw in the darkness, then put the light on it.... and repeats it and repeats.. I just don't have enough word to describe it ... It's beautiful and dark, it's gorgeous and disgusting, it keeps in suspense and relax.. It brings goose bumps almost every cut scene.. It creeps you out and penetrates to the soul.. It's not A Game - it's masterpiece of art..

This game is something else. You'll not find many games who are so eager and succesfull in telling you something (and I don't mean just story). You can visit wonderful realms in the gaming world... but Senua is much more. Over the 6 to 8 hrs of gameplay (which seems to be not much, but it isn't, trust me) you will build a very strong bond with Senua and her hearthbreaking story. You'll help her to fight her deamons, which of you can't be sure if they are real or not. You'll see her pain - the physical and of the mind. And you'll be in awe of how much alive does she look, really. Wonderful game.

This is probably the only game ever I have ever bought in the day of premiere, and it happend only because of the PS4 trailer which drop jaw to the ground. Then I have played this game, it was few years ago and I still remember it so well. This is an astonishing experience of dark bur epic, very lonely journey as a celtic girl Senua, trying to save the soul of her beloved friend murdered in viking invasion on their village. At least that is what she believes in. At the same time this is a grim, fullfilling story of suffering, psychic trauma and mental illness. You will find here everything - a slow great story, puzzles, action, a truly effective horror and some beautiful cutscenes with outstanding acting. You will care deeply for the Senua because you will hear and see exactly what horror she is experiencing. Hell, sometimes you will even feel that she is looking at you with her eyes and this is very unique experience. I have never experienced so intensive atmosphere in any other story telling game, graphics are here grim and beautiful at the same time. The sound design here is probably the best game production ever happened. Please use headphones to be sure that you will experience this too. Jaw dropping. I could write a peans about this game all the time and yes, I understand that not everyone will like it, because there are some fighting sections which are little too monotonous, and I think the game could be a little harder. But for me this is how games should be used as a medium, and Senua is hands down my favorite game character. It is baffling how amazing actor Melinda Juergens is in this role. I can't wait for the sequel, I hope it will be as thought provoking and deep as this masterpiece.
