EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY
Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.
NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS
You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?

You can easly make any top tier deck totaly f2p within a few weeks.
After Homecoming updete it was a bit different, but still a great game, and after mulligan update (January 10th 2019) it is better than BETA version for me.
Better was just better. In an attempt to unify the PvE experience (Thronebreaker) with the PvP experience they just made an overall worse product.
Sad to say the least because the Beta lasted over a year and in the end out of nowhere the game launched and turned 180 out of nowhere.
The title couldnt be more accurate. I came back to Gwent after a long pause just to realize that good old gwent simply disappeared. Im not against changes but core concept modifications created a totally new game. And this is not my game anymore. Sad.
Gwent is my favorite CCG with an awesome art design, music and style. But for some reason the game developers instead of nerfing cards which being played in every deck, despite of an archetype, add new faction with the most obviously overpowerd cards.
Having a strong meta is bad not because you can't win against them, actually you can, just create a tier-1, tier-2 deck and you will play in an identical conditions. It is bad beacuse 1 step away from the meta equals defeat by a 20 points scoia'tael swings from Sheldon, tree and Barnaba, other archetypes suffer from this too (Where is the elf, dwarf decks? Right, there is no point in playing them).
Every day i am trying to play Eldain, witcher deck, Demavend and this is just suffering. Eldain is the most enjoyable from these three, because you can play differently and trick your way to the victory. Demavend on the other hand... feel free to use Roche: Merciless against syndycate.
