FREE TO PLAY THAT’S WORTH YOUR TIME
A fair and fun progression system turns the effort of building a competitive collection of cards into pure pleasure — simply collect new cards to build decks with as you play GWENT; no strings attached.
STUNNING, ALL ACROSS THE BOARD
Beautiful, hand-drawn art and mesmerizing visual effects breathe life into every card, battle and battlefield, making GWENT fun to play and every duel a joy to watch.
SKILL BEATS LUCK
Crush the enemy with brute strength or outsmart them with clever tricks — no matter your deck, GWENT’s unique round-based gameplay opens up a world of strategic possibilities to play with when fighting for victory.
MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PLAY
Whether it’s a quick online game against a friend, a highly competitive PvP challenge, or something new and wildly adventurous like the Arena, GWENT’s selection of game modes has got you covered.
EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY
Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.
NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS
You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?
The game requires an online connection to play and offers optional in-game purchases.
Card design is very lazy -> meta becoming stale and boring after a week or 2 even after a big patch.
Cant remember a patch without several small but annoying bugs.
I played gwent since ealry close beta, back then the game was really unbalanced, but it was fun.
Now HC is not balanced, and also not fun at all.
CDPR why u have to kill all the fun?
This is coming from player who didn't play gwent in beta. Gwent is a pretty unique card game that differs from games like hearthstone, Yu-Gi-Oh! and such. In these games i mentioned usually to win a game you have to reduce opponents life points or HP to zero, but in Gwent you have to win 2 out 3 rounds to win a game. Another unique thing is that you can only play one card a turn, this makes the game really tactical because you can't make aggro decks that just rush you or annoying combo decks that take 10 minutes to finish a turn. If you plan to play this game you should watch or read a starter guide, because tutorial doesn't explain all the game mechanics that you need to know. Another thing except tutorial i that i don't like is the ui, it's pretty cluttered, also I think it's confusing for new players and some things take a to much to load for example when you want ot see your profile. But gameplay overall is pretty good and card art is amazing, you will like it especially if you are a fan of witcher series.
This is the professional card game of the century. The best of all, truly.
Everytime I play, I'm looking forward to it. It is that great. Try it out! You won't regret it.
P.S.: don't worry about the free-to-play aspect. This company respects its players. You can play without money, but I encourage you: if you like the game and like what the people behind it are doing, support them.
GWENT HOMECOMING is probably the best F2P card game out there. It's easy to learn. It got influences from MtG, WoW, Hearthstone. It has 5 factions [Monsters, Skellige, Scoia'Tael, Northern Realms and Nilfgaard] and you need to pick the one you like better and evolve it. This game can be so rewarding as well! After a month i started to play with it, did manage to create my own deck from the scratch; It has a big depth card collection to choose from; Also has very good gameplay and soundtrack; And it's only 2GB;
