FREE TO PLAY THAT’S WORTH YOUR TIME

A fair and fun progression system turns the effort of building a competitive collection of cards into pure pleasure — simply collect new cards to build decks with as you play GWENT; no strings attached.

STUNNING, ALL ACROSS THE BOARD

Beautiful, hand-drawn art and mesmerizing visual effects breathe life into every card, battle and battlefield, making GWENT fun to play and every duel a joy to watch.

SKILL BEATS LUCK

Crush the enemy with brute strength or outsmart them with clever tricks — no matter your deck, GWENT’s unique round-based gameplay opens up a world of strategic possibilities to play with when fighting for victory.

MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PLAY

Whether it’s a quick online game against a friend, a highly competitive PvP challenge, or something new and wildly adventurous like the Arena, GWENT’s selection of game modes has got you covered.

EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY

Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.

NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS

You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?

The game requires an online connection to play and offers optional in-game purchases.

Stellar new ideas, but some old issues.

Some of the same frustrating issues have followed gwent hc from antique gwent, balence issues mostly, that said not as many as were in the original and all look very solvable. The new format makes games feel more like a pitched battle which I much prefer while still keeping around 20% of that old gwent feel. Not enough it seems for some people but as we know change is never received possitively. All in all a much better experience and old gwent was excellent, so, a good upgrade imo. Rewards seem a little easier to acquire and the new point system is awesome, play games, craft cards, mill cards and complete little challenges for reward points you use to unlock nodes which give you a reward, unlock all nodes in a tree and get new board skins, leaders, leader skins etc. A fantastic way to continually reward players instead of waiting for the end of a month to receive your goodies. All in all a worthwhile experience.

Average Card Game - Uncertain Identity

The game is average by itself. Judging by what it became it is an ok experience. The game felt fresh before because it was a different card game experience, now, their's not much to make it stand out. It feels generic, which is not a good thing for a Witcher game with such beautiful art and such an interesting base with its universe and game idea. It lacks polish and creativity in my opinion and that is where it fails to stand out. Homecoming added interesting mechanics that are not fully developed and the ones already established in the 2 year Beta are heavily diminished. The game doesn't feel complete or thoroughly explored, and for an announced "full release" after a long development that is a heavy misstep. The strategic depth is missing because it limits the very essentials of the base game of Gwent (card advantage, interesting abilities, witcher lore, faction identity, and much more) and it doesn't embrace what it tries to add to this new game. It feels like a mixed experience that is unsure if it wants to break out of the mold and be an original card game that embraces its essentials (like before) or if it wants to be a new take on the already known CCG mechanics (now). This is further represented by the current approach from the Team because since the official release it still feels like they are not clear on what direction to take. Big changes to the base game keep coming (and have been announced to continue) even though we were supposed to get a final established product to expand upon after 2 years of Beta. As much of the reviews here, I agree, Gwent Beta was a hell of a game (5/5) and by far the most fun card game I've ever played (My main account is on my PS4 and there I played almost every day for the last 2 and a half years), but this one has a long long way to go to be special. This game is a Beta, not a full release, and it needs a ton of work to be good.

Even better than in the beta

Great synergies, fascinating lore, and very generous rewards. For me the best CCG on the market!
