FREE TO PLAY THAT’S WORTH YOUR TIME
A fair and fun progression system turns the effort of building a competitive collection of cards into pure pleasure — simply collect new cards to build decks with as you play GWENT; no strings attached.
STUNNING, ALL ACROSS THE BOARD
Beautiful, hand-drawn art and mesmerizing visual effects breathe life into every card, battle and battlefield, making GWENT fun to play and every duel a joy to watch.
SKILL BEATS LUCK
Crush the enemy with brute strength or outsmart them with clever tricks — no matter your deck, GWENT’s unique round-based gameplay opens up a world of strategic possibilities to play with when fighting for victory.
MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PLAY
Whether it’s a quick online game against a friend, a highly competitive PvP challenge, or something new and wildly adventurous like the Arena, GWENT’s selection of game modes has got you covered.
EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY
Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.
NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS
You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?
The game requires an online connection to play and offers optional in-game purchases.
This is the best Collectible Card Game ever!
It's extremely generous as a free to play card game and you can definitly earn your collection really fast. Of course you can also spend money to make it a bit faster and support the awesome devs as well.
CDPR listens to the community and actively updates and polishes the game, so you should really try it out, maybe it's the game you were looking for all life!

- Unique gameplay. Forget about Magic-like games, here there’s no mana, no face damage, no combat between creature. You have to win 2 rounds out of 3 to win a game simply by having more points than your opponent. No card draw between turns but only between rounds so you need to manage your resources. Knowing when to lose is the key to win!
- Economy. Probably the most generous card game on the market with an incredible rewards system. You don’t even need to win games to gain rewards points but only single rounds. Rewards points can be spent in the reward book to gain: Ore to buy card packs (kegs), Scraps to craft cards or Meteorite Powder to craft premium version of the cards (Premiums are only aesthetically enhanced version of a normal cards). In the reward book you can also unlock borders, avatars, titles, skin for your leader and cardbacks.
-Game modes
Gwent have basically every mode you can ask for. Constructed have both a casual and ranked (with extra rewards) mode plus a special seasonal (monthly) mode with extra rules and quest. For Arena/Draft players there’s also an Arena mode.
-Graphics
The best looking game on the market. Cards are superb and every card have a fully animated version.
-Low rng
Gwent decks have only 25 cards and you draw a minimum of 16 cards. Some cards have rng effect but it’s always manageable.
Balance and bugs fix
-Balance changes are made monthly. Bug fixes are made asap.
-Development
Devs listen to their community a lot. They are ready to change things that don’t work and are very present on their official channels of communication.
Just a tips, stay away from the official forum/reddit. Sadly the gwent community is pretty bad, childish, greedy and spoiled.
I really love Gwent. I've played a lot of card games, and Gwent has had some of the best balancing I've seen. A lot of people complain, but the devs respond to changes quickly in recent updates and are willing to listen. The animation and art style of the cards is a level of quality that exceeds any CCG available. The game is easy to learn after a bit of play, and the games are short so it is a perfect casual card game, especially due to its high and consistent rewards.
Despite what diehard fans might say, the game was destroyed by the homecoming update. Interface, game speed, sound effects, music, animations, interesting cards and intuitive counter mechanics that required foresight are more or less gone. The game does not feel different let alone better than most other card games now. Just because the delevopers are CD Projekt and the game has to do with the Witcher universe you cant overlook the failure this game has become.
As soon as I stepped into the competitive mode I was dominated wave after wave of online opponents with very similar decks focusing on one specific tactics. Very cheesy and not fun at all.
