Description
Hundreds of years before Geralt and the other witchers roamed the Continent, the Conjunction of Spheres brought endless ranks of monsters into the world. Humanity desperately needed a way to fight back the onslaught to survive.
Follow the journey of a young and ambitious mage, Alzur, and his companion Lily, who embark on a dangerous quest to create a living weapon that will eradicate the monster threat once and for all.

While quite different from the previous single-player GWENT experience, GWENT: Rogue Mage is an extremely solid title that masterfully combines mechanics from the card game introduced in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt with roguelike mechanics. With tons of different cards and different strategies, Alzur's search for the mutagens that will create The Witcher is an extremely engaging one, despite the smaller focus on story, compared to other games belonging to the popular series.

Deckbuilding with a twist
I am not a huge card game or deck building player, but this was a fun experience for me. The random way that you come by the cards makes it challenging and you have to make hard decisions from time to time. The events also give the game a good flavour and I like the narrative as well. Although the story is not as strong as in Thronebreaker.
