Guild of Dungeoneering Ultimate Edition

I love this game just like I loved Cardpocalypse. It's more than challenging and really frustrating within certain dungeons, but careful placement of cards and understanding how the characters work will pull you through. A lot of fun.

Mixing a card game strategy with dungeon exploration sure is fun. You play at your own pace and strategically, not really massively pressured. The hand-drawn artstyle is also a great choice, making for a very enjoyable experience.

The game is really fun and quite challenging. The best part? The Bard!

Disappointing & Flat game. This game is pretty mindless and dull, there is little meaningful choice, it feels like a grind where nothing changes. Combat is dumb, you choose which card to play, but it really doesn't matter what you choose most of the time. Its way too much luck, and not enough strategy, and doesn't have other aspects to it to make it interesting. Waste of time and money

I saw some of this game online and decided I would like it. So, I got it and did like it. You get to design the dungeon, either to try and get through as fast as possible... or I prefer taking my time to get as much loot as possible. (Funds for expanding the base.) The equipment changing the battle deck is an interesting mechanic, and sometimes present choices that take a moment... do I get the one cool attack with two lame ones or keep the fancy magic attack that the monsters in this dungeon are blocking half the time? --- However, after a few hours of play, it freezes. Okay... exit the game, wait a moment and go back in - freezes at about the same point. Hmm... reboot my computer and try again... freezes at the same point. Well... reinstall and start over... build up to the same point and it freezes again. Yup I can't finish the game because it freezes on me. I have to use Alt+F4 (or Task Manager) to crash out the game I like this game... but I can only play roughy the first 1/3 (based on the upgrades for the base). [Note - this may be caused by somehow landing in an infinite loop in the code... since the game is just freezing (stops responding).]
