This GoG version is a really good deal if you want to play in Singleplayer, it contains almost all DLCs, it just lacks one map and one free car (which might come later into an update).
Only lacking things are the Delorean, the VR and MP features, but you can still play split-screen!
Now for all the new players, the game itself is a really great and wonderful game, a lot of maps, a lot of variety in cars, you can spend a lot of great time just trying to beat the best times on the speedrun.com page.
If you want a Rollcage spiritual successor, this is the one. If you want to experience great great speed, this is the one. If you want to witness mayhem and chaos, this is the one.
The GoG version is really a great deal and if you want a great racing game, just go for it.
This is pretty much the Steam version just missing multiplayer. Dunno what that other guy is so angry about DLC because most of the paid stuff on Steam is included for free here
Game is fast and fun but kinda hard so be prepared to put some time in. I like the wheeled cars better but the hovers are fun too. Some tracks are better than others.
Solid 8/10
PS. Also VR is missing but it's based in Steam so...
I was skeptical when I saw the trailer for this game, but I can verify that this game is absolutely epic! It's a perfect cross between F-Zero and WipEout ... but you can also ride on the walls. I haven't gotten that far into the game yet, but it blew me away when I played the first level. The controls are very tight, the music is very fitting, and the battle aspect is well executed. Great deal for the price!
Exactly, they finally updated the game so it has all patched like Steam.
However there are still DLC missing like the Artifex Car Pack and the DeLorean 2650 but the new update brings:
-Vintek Marengo Speedster Class Vehicle
-Norvos Map Jekna 881
-Two New Music Tracks from Thrill Swollowa
-New Music Track by Nosfer & Urph
-Dragstrip Carkour Track
-Gradient Paint Jobs for all Vehicles
-More Decal Options to Every Car
Great game, an absolute must have!!!
GRIP is the spiritual successor to the 1999 Sony Playstation future racer series Rollcage, in which you can race not only on the ground, but also on the walls and ceilings of courses while using the occasional powerup or weapon against the other racers. And while I never got around to playing Rollcage much way back then, I can say that GRIP is a solid racer.
The game features 7 race types including standard races, deathmatch, Carkour: Which is a series of 21 special courses that seem to be checkpoint focused solo races, and others.
Career mode features numerous tiers, each with their own set of tracks, rules, and restrictions that gradually increase the difficulty as you progress.
Tracks are numerous and varied in environment. There are 32 regular tracks, 21 Carkour tracks, and 6 deathmatch arena tracks for a total of 59 tracks.
Vehicles are also numerous and varied, and often have two versions: A standard wheeled version, and a no-wheeled antigravity version or Airblade version as the game calls it (In case you want that "WipEout" feel). Counting both versions, there are around 40 vehicles in the game, and these can be customized with numerous unlockable cosmetic parts.
Opponent AI is fair and challenging, and put up a good fight on normal difficulty setting in my brief test.
The game also features split-screen local multiplayer.
Graphics and sound are great. The game runs very well, even on my aging Nvidia GTX 970, Intel Core i5 3570K, 8GB RAM setup. The devs obviously know what they're doing with Unreal Engine 4.
The only downside is the GOG version doesn't have online multiplayer, VR, or the DeLorean dlc vehicles the Steam version has, but on the upside, all the other dlc that is sold separately in the Steam version is all included in the GOG version at no extra cost, which is a great deal if you're not concerned with the missing features from the Steam version.
Overall, a solid racing game that makes me look forward to other games from this developer.
