Grim Dawn

I saw many complaints in the past about game bugs, but I believe most must be fixed now. It runs great solo, and in co-op for me. [Can be played solo without Galaxy.] So yes, you do "own it". You have to connect with something to play co-op? lol :D Great old-school style, and keeps you interested. Can build very original characters as your skills progress. GOG's price is better than the [you don't own your games you lease them blockheads "St__m"?] lol :P Regardless of any gripes? There are enough cudo's that say good stuff about it to outweigh the negatives. It's worth the price, and quite fun to play. Give it a shot! :)

I finished the game with Level 63 Warder (Soldier / Shaman), and here is my opinion. The review should be short, so you can read about the pros in the game description. It is also very nice, that the developers continue to improve the game, although it was released in 2016! GOG has the game definitely in a false category. It has nothing to do with fantasy, there are no elfs or dwarfs, there are some trolls, goblin-like creatures and undead, but that is all. Instead it should have the HORROR tag! The two main evil fractions - Aetherials und Chthonians - are unique for this game. Aetherials make bodies of creatures bloated and green, there are a lot of acid-green color in those areas. By Chtonians it is all about blood. Blood rites, bloodbaths (literally), wagons of blood, rivers of blood... There is a lot of blood and gore in the game. BLOOD AND GORE. The game lore is very depressive, an there are a lot of in-game stories with so much nauseating details, that there is no doubt for me that it is a horror game. And something that I personally count as cons: * The damage/resistance system is too complex. There are so much properties to take care of, that it makes building your character very time-spending. * The item system is not very good. Practically through all the game my character had magical (yellow) and rare (green) items equipped. Epic items (blue) are mostly of no use, they are not better than green items, they just have an unique look, and are sometimes parts of a set. And legendary items you can find first after level 50, so almost at the end of the game. * Sometimes you must rotate the camera, while otherwise you don't see what you are looking for, for example a cavern entrance. I don't like it, and I think it should be comfortable to play without camera rotation. * The game logic, when the walls and ceilings should be hidden, and when not, is bad. Sometimes I just don't see enemies, and I shoot blind in the direction where they stay.

Got bored of diablo 3 and found accidently this gem, I actually like the plot, so I am trying to follow it, reading all the notes, quests description. Gameplay is challenging, I am playing on veteran difficulty from the beginning, so I died many many times, and found that often I can't just rush into a horde of enemies and kill everyone, I must think about some strategies. Lot of classes, and spent like an hour reading about everyone and trying to chose one at first level, and then again at level 10. Game is stable and I didn't have any crash. I recommend it to everyone who likes RPGs.

I just bought this game. I was hoping for Diablo 2 graphic looks, so first what i did was disable Post Processing in options. Yeah, game looks like Diablo 2! I went into game, after 2 min of clicking everybody in camp i could go into action and smash enemies. Yeah, that is a great game with gameplay, not cinematic bullshit and stopping from having fun. Then i found one thing. Ragdolls. Oh people, this game have really fun in ragdolls. This is giving fun, i like physics games. And it run smoothly at Linux from Lutris. 5/5, specially for just 5 euros!

Good game, has a lot of replay value, tons of quests and upgrades, the only few problems I witnessed are the limited skeleton keys, a lot of devotion choices but not a lot of points and to experience the game fully you have to play on the hardest difficulty.
