Not by Piranha Bytes. Not Gothic.
If you like Gothic 3, don't buy Forsaken Gods. If you don't like Gothic 3, don't buy Forsaken Gods. If you like shit, well... Even you might have some quality standards.

Bad written story, but no crashes
Decided to play the entire PB series and after G3 I decided to try G3 FG. The story is written badly, the voice acting is bad, but it's an entertaining experience. Lots of new weapons and armors. Doesn't crash also.

A good balance
This game has a good balance between story lines, missions and combat. It takes quite awhile to get the levels up to a point where you don't die in battle. I have played this game 4 times (both versions) and find it so uniqueand massive. You can alter the gameplay IE: defy the Orcs and rid them from towns, but you will be failing several of the story lines. What I don't like ... the music gets tiring and although beautiful is too monotamous. The game also has a few visual issues like flickering and interferance from tree limbs etc... All that said ... it's one of my top favorite 20 games.

Enhanced Edition is worth playing!
I don't know about previous versions of this game, but EE was quite an enjoyable experience for me. It was like coming home years after finishing Gothic 3 and recognizing the familiar landscape and some old characters. Desert and North are cut from the game, so there is only Myrtana to play which, at least for me, was a blessing. I didn't encounter any bugs save for some flickering trees which affects only certain models of Intel Graphics. I finished all the quests and none was bugged and unsolvable. The only drawback was the personality of the Nameless Hero who unfortunately turned into a judgmental jerk. That's the only reason I don't give the game five stars. Other than that I would recommend EE edition of Forsaken Gods to any fan of Gothic 3. You will enjoy it.
